In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
macaronic \mak-uh-RON-ik\ , adjective
1. Composed of a mixture of languages.
2. Composed of or characterized by Latin words mixed with vernacular words or non-Latin words given Latin endings.
3. Mixed; jumbled.
noun
1. Macaronics, macaronic language.

Example sentences:

-- Mikhail Bakhtin, Rabelais and His World

-- W. D. Redfern, French Laughter: Literary Humour from Diderot to Tournier
The journalistic multiplicity of voices found in the Magazine corresponded with the poetic multi-vocality of Fergusson's macaronic compositions, texts that combined elements of neo-classical English and vernacular Scots diction.
-- Ian Brown, The Edinburgh History of Scottish Literature
Etymology:
Macaronic is related to the word macaroni. Specifically, the pasta is named after the Southern Italian dialect maccarone, which was also associated with a mixture of Latin and vernacular languages.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)

WFB's attempt to emulate us ; ) No pushing at the door please!
The Goose proved his worth last night, esp. the two last-minute faceoff wins.
And PIT losing from the 3-0 lead??? That’s your NHL playoffs I guess...
In the macaronic Twitter speak the battle is in full swing. Hilary Rosen attacked Ann Romney saying she “has not worked a day in her life”. Ann joined the Twitter world saying she raised 5 boys and it was work. The Twitter war was on. Just now, Michelle Obama joined the fray defending motherhood. Hilary was thrown under the bus. 35 visits to the White House, notably more than even the CIA director. First David Axelrod dumped her, now the First Lady. Give it up Hilary, all you did was unite us with the Romneys.
Huh, Rush is having at it on the subject of Hilary Rosen.....priceless. Love that shake of the paper for emphasis that he always does.
Sure it isn’t NOODLE?
Chaz's brother...
Because he’s clueless. I thought that was all that was needed to win a Nobel Peace Prize, along with a leftist agenda. A for you.
You really need to avoid those mushrooms. A for originality and yes, you own that category.
That might be macaporcinic. Before anyone feels the need to mention it, yes, I know that’s not a real word. I just made it up.
Thank you for not supplying pictures. A for you.
You are a deep thinker. A for you and welcome to WFTD!
A+ for you.
A+ for you. I know you meant Marconi.

Of Helen Thomas doing the Macarena?
She has since apologized and it might even be sincere, but I doubt it.
