When Snowball brings out the claws out for the attack the best thing to do is attack back and give that little Niedermeyer a taste of his own medicine! You’d be surprised the damage a domesticated cat can do. And if it’s a bobcat or a cougar? Even more!

Ummm. I have two catz. They don't use their claws. Ever. They learned that not from sweet reason, but from corporeal correction. Use a claw, get a slap. Not liking getting slapped, they stopped using their claws on me.

It's called training. I love them and they love me. It's based on mutual respect reinforced with firm boundries.
