There were two distinct parts of the Redskins conversation during Michael Wilbons appearance on Tony Kornheisers ESPN 980 show Monday morning.
1) The part where Wilbon mercilessly ripped the Redskins and compared them to the Wizards.
2) The part where Wilbon said insiders have told him that the Colts are still seriously considering drafting Robert Griffin III with the top overall pick in Aprils draft.
I suppose Ill do the second part first, since thats actually surprising.
By the way, I will tell you this, Wilbon said, mid-rant. Its not like Im following this closely, but I had the occasion over the weekend to talk to a couple of people who have intimate knowledge of what the Colts are thinking. And you and I have talked very briefly on the show about are they still considering RGIII? Tony, Im told they are.
And Im told that the main reason they are is because there are people in the organization and people they consult and now you consult all these different people about something a s important as a number one overall draft pick, a maybe once in a generation pick. And they are of the opinion, some people that are having input into this pick, that RGIII is better in the pocket.
They have stats, they have analysis, they have information that says to them its Luck who is faster to leave the pocket and not be as good in the pocket. And RGIII is better in the pocket, hes a better pocket passer, better arm. And that they are seriously still considering RGIII.

What does USC’s defense look like for next year? Barkley can’t do it all by himself...
I was pissed when they took Smith over Rodgers. I couldn't believe it.
Back seven all return, with good depth. Lost three starting linemen, but have several capable replacements who got significant playing time last year (Kennard/Uko/Tavai), and Antuan Woods looked great at nose tackle in last week's scrimmage. We're very hopeful and expectant!
Nick Perry aside they bring back two of their most explosive defensive front seven playmakers; Devon Kennard & Wes Horton....
I want to add that, although the defensive interior line has several sophomores and freshmen, SC has certainly shown the ability under Lane Kiffin to bring talented young players up to speed quickly, on both offense and defense. Obvious examples last year included freshmen starters WR Marqise Lee, OG Marcus Martin, and the three LBs Dion Bailey, Lamar Dawson, and Hayes Pullard.
RG3 .... Luck. Yeah, they’re good, but Tannehill (A&M) is going to be a franchise QB. Whoever gets him is getting a good one.
Tell me more about Tannehill.
I actually enjoy most of Wilbon’s commentary. However it helps to keep in mind he is black first and everything on earth is a distant third. It’s just that obvious.
He's got a good eye and a strong arm. 6'4", 222 ... he's got size. He can run too. Tough kid.
