I plan on giving them to the young ladies in the Girls Club. I think it is the perfect bridge book between Narnia and his more grown up stuff.

I am trying to get them hooked on reading. Except for one who is already hooked. She will read the labels off soup cans if there is nothing else around.

That sounds like me.

I bribed my children to read. It cost me a dollar a book.

Their reading habits are still costing me. Now I have to buy their college texts.

Bet the casseroles around her house are frequently surprising. When you want to add Cream of Mushroom but dump in a can of Bean with Bacon . . . it's a whole new world.

Oh. Maybe you didn't technically mean she reads the labels 'off' of soup cans.
