Cops: Accused Prostitute Offered Undercover Officer Sex For Cheeseburgers Off McDonald's Dollar Menu
The woman, the detective reported, replied that the pair could go have sexual intercourse if I bought her two double cheese burgers off the dollar menu at McDonalds. The cop added, I agreed to the deal and purchased the hamburgers for $2.75.

It’s “spring.” The roadkill you see is probably the offspring of the more experienced live animals. Some people see a critter and TRY to kill it. Others try to avoid them.

It seems to be a Siamese. They’re always intense!
I’ll be going to the library tomorrow. My re-reserved book is in again. They probably hadn’t taken it off the hold shelf yet, even though the hold period had expired.

I had a Siamese, once. It was one of the few siamese cats I knew of that was not “vocal.”

True.
I just saw an interesting phrase in a post: “rift raft.” It means lower-class, ill-behaved persons, as in, “Make sure to lock your doors at night; there is rift raft in this neighborhood.”

So, was Thor Heyerdahl’s Kon Tiki a rift raft?
Hint: The Free Online Dictionary defines rift valley this way; “A valley that has developed along a rift, especially one bounded by normal faults in an area of lithospheric thinning.”
When you find a definition that sends you to other parts of the dictionary, you need to spend more time there anyway. (Bob’s unofficial rules).

I thought it was
riff-raff, from those old French people.
Not to be confused with rip-rap, which is actually quite useful.

"Off to the Walmart I go ... seeya (although not there)." I'm sure it's true that you can find all kinds of people at your local Walmart, but it doesn't quite follow that you can find any particular person there.
Some might say that a particular person wouldn't shop at Walmart; however, I find it convenient.

If you lose 10% of your net assets with the adoption of one puppy, and 10% of that 90% with the adoption of your next puppy, what is the value of your net worth after the sequential adoption of five puppies? Is that an arithmetic progression, a geometric progression, or something else I've forgotten how to do?
