Happy Mothers Day!!!!
Good morning. Back from church. The Primary Children sang to us, and them all the men sang to us. It was worth going, but my back is killing me...
Thanks!

Everyone has (or had) a mother, after all. Father Gary preached about how people shouldn’t be too critical and negative to one another. Easy for him to say - he lives alone with his little dog!
It sounds like Father Gary’s perspective is a little like a stained-glass window. The light comes in, but the colors often obscure and/or distort what one really sees.
Still, I like the colors the world has with that light! The Cathedral in Salt Lake used to give me such a warm feeling with all the light. Overcast days had nothing on the sunny ones.
Dust motes took on their own colors and danced for me...slowly and with precision. I love the windows...
On the one hand, he misses the daily mob of people in one’s house driving one up the wall. On the other hand, he has to be polite to gripy people in the church.
We have big skylights at St. Luke’s, but the only stained glass is in the day chapel, and the windows have shrubbery outside.
SLC has an Awesome cathedral: Cathedral of the Madeline.
There is also one here, though I think it’s name is the Cathedral of the Angels... Don’t quote me on that!
I worked for the music company who provided the speakers for the Cathedral, way back when. I just can’t recall the name, but I think the speakers came from Conn.
Happy Mother’s Day !

Dianas Beneficial Bug Mix:
Orange Cosmos
Blue Bachelor Buttons
Calendula (yellow or orange)
Dill
Cilantro
Fennel
Mix a package of each of these together and plant a row of this, or just patches of the mix throughout the garden. If space is a problem, grow this mix in a pot near your garden bed or other potted veggies. Let the dill & cilantro go to flower, and the fennel go to frond stage. These flowers and herbs bring in the Good Bugs, who will eat the Bad Bugs for you. It really brings in the butterflies, too! :)
Borage and parsley in the garden also bring in good bugs & pollinators! And, of course, cut yourself a bouquet of the mix for the kitchen table, and use the dill for pickles and the cilantro leaves for salsa, etc. This mix makes plenty for the use of man and bugs alike, LOL!
Ive been using this mix in my 100% organic food garden for a decade or so. Works like a charm and I absolutely LOVE the fragrant and beautiful bouquet it makes, too!

Been there, done that.
I was lucky enough to have a Mission Church whose windows were donated, as were the Stations. Each Station was under a dedicated window.
The Franciscans were (are) awesome! And I am on my way to bed.
My stamina is out of bounds...and then some!
See you tomorrow!
Is it the date or the day? Ours is Second Sunday in May.
I love ya, Gal! And i’m off to bed!
Luv you too!
Sounds like a great idea! I have dill ready to plant, because it’s supposed to drive off the green hornworms from the vegetables. Supposed to be 70s most of the week here, though - not warm enough for the vegetables or any hornworms.
Ooohhhthat brings back a memory!
How was your Mother’s Day?
Just fine - but now it’s pouring rain, and the kids start swim practice tonight. They’ll be cold!
Jamie-our-hairdresser is supposed to be here at 10:00. Anoreth needs a haircut, too.
I’ve finally managed to coordinate my money with my laundry needs as well as feeling good enough to do it. Yay, me! Maybe I’ll manage to make a dent in the pile of dirty clothes this week.
Good luck! I have constant laundry.
