Miami Gardens teenager Trayvon Martin was suspended from school because he was caught with an empty plastic bag with traces of marijuana in it, the boy’s family attorney has confirmed.
Trayvon was killed while serving out the suspension in Sanford Florida, where his father’s girlfriend lives. A community watch volunteer who thought he looked drugged out and suspicious called police and later wound up in a fight with him.
The two scuffled and volunteer George Zimmerman shot Trayvon, killing him. He has not been charged.
Tens of thousands of people are expected to converge on Sanford on Monday for an afternoon rally to protest the killing, which occurred one month ago today.
The Rev. Jesse Jackson, Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis, the Rev. Al Sharpton and comedian Sinbad are expected to speak at a 5 p.m. special City Commission meeting.
Several busloads of protesters left Miami early Monday to participate.

Sorry I got distracted......”traces” of pot that makes it sound better to media? I wonder what size baggie it was that had “traces?”

Taking a swing at the bus driver is supported in the twitter dialog between Martin and his brother. Not theory, but perhaps not the reason for the suspension.

Don't you think that is curious? Could it mean he is warning someone that he is going to “shoot” darts or just go shooting? Seems like it is some sort of threat.
And the other picture of Trayvon in the backseat of a car wearing a Gang Color and in the backseat where most often the gunman in a Gang Drive By Shooting will take position.
No it was Zimmerman who mentioned Martin might be on drugs.....and the fact they recently revealed (yet again a change in the familys story),said he was suspended for finding pot on him. Yet the school made the statement he was NOT suspended for drugs.
If Martin was high that would explain his wandering about as Zimmerman had stated....also...am interested in the distance between the 7-11 and where they were when this happened.
Google shows it’s a 2 mile distance to the first 7-11. So why would Martin walk to the 7-11 in the rain for Skittles....assumptions might be he was looking to sell or buy perhaps. Hopefull 7-11 has video of his arrvial etc.
(But the school he was suspended from has all ready said that Trayvon was not suspended because of drugs or fighting.)
possession of a baggie with pot residue is a far cry from being tardy as was presented prior....or being in an area not allowed...also previously stated....so what are they hiding?.. Trayvor’s family’s initial lie that the suspension was for being tardy ,when this hit the news, Trayvon’s family immediately had his school records sealed, now his family is admitting that the suspension was for possession.
Why?
.....if Martin was high during the altercation, (which we don’t know yet) it would explain why he was meandering through the neighborhood looking at stuff, and may have intensified his own sense of suspicion....or.... He could also have been looking for or waiting for a drug connection so he could get hooked up. That would explain why he was willing to go out in the rain.....Right now it’s speculation. It will depend on that toxicology report....... If it comes back positive, then Zimmerman’s phone call to dispatch gets more credibility.... Remember he was saying it looked like there was something wrong with him, like he was on drugs.
Trayvon Martin’s mother says, ‘They’ve killed my son and now they’re trying to kill his reputation’ seems to me the family’s doing a joob of that by not being truthful in the first place. ....The mother is the one that launched a civil suit against Zimmerman..... That means the gloves are off. And I can only assume at this point her statement is meant to try to shut people up and stop investigations.

In both instances, Fulton is seeking the trademarks for use on “Digital materials, namely, CDs and DVDs featuring Trayvon Martin,” and other products.

64 degrees, as it has been reported on this site, is not necessarily considered a warm temperature to a black person. They have a fairly low tolerance to the cold.

He would not be charged “again.” He was never charged. He was questioned and released, presumably after police reviewed the evidence that’s being assembled here piece by piece.
If that tweet from his brother is genuine, he was suspended from school for assaulting a bus driver and now it looks like he was also selling drugs.
The murdered smiling school boy is looking more and more like a six foot tall thug who had the misfortune to cross paths with a smaller minor authority figure who happened to be armed.
As Vaquero reminds us (Heinlin’s aphorism): “An armed society is a polite society.” And that’s a lesson you only get once. But this fact of life won’t mean anything to the Rodney King/OJ crowd.
