There was a giant serving of frosting when dueling domestic divas Martha Stewart and Rachael Ray bumped into each other at hot New York City restaurant Il Buco Alimentaria & Vineria.
The atmosphere froze over when the rival cuisine queens found themselves at nearby tables at the new eatery Thursday night.
Witnesses said Stewart, whose daytime television show was recently canceled, was "noticeably glaring in Ray's direction throughout her meal."
Meanwhile, Ray, who was seated with Time magazine food writer Josh Ozersky, became visibly uncomfortable -- so much so that after having her appetizer, she left with her main course in a doggie bag.
Sources told us Stewart may have the knives out because Ray's daytime show is moving into her now-vacated studio.

Both work for far left networks that celebrate freakism, so they will remain Dems for their bank account’s sake, if nothing else.
Rachel is a very sharp lady, very much on the way up.
>> “She’s a cute fat girl.” <<
.
You need prayer, not flames!
Rachel is perfection.
>> “I caught a show Saturday of 3 fine looking babes fixing a 1970 Chevelle SS.” <<
.
My youngest daughter has a 68 Chevelle SS with a 478” aluminum block, and recently sold a 70 camaro similarly equipped. The girls love those things.
I picked up the Martha Stewart Entertaining book in the 80’s, I became a caterer and then a personal chef because of it. I will always be grateful to her.
I can’t take RR - just not my kind of person. Nothing wrong with her, but hard to take - too mouthy, I guess.
Her show was cancelled due to the high cost of production given the size of the audience ~ but I watched it on and off and she always had something interesting AND, like FOX, didn't insult that audience!
That's an advanced idea ~ that some audiences like to watch their shows uninterrupted with "edginess".
So, yeah, I liked Martha Stewart ~ the same way I like Fox ~ or the Weather Channel now that the crazy woman is off the air.
If I want edginess I can watch any other show, or cruise the internet.
BTW, I just flipped over to her website and a feature was RECIPES FOR SHRIMP ~ and RECIPES FOR SALMON. One of the pictures was of a fresh made cornmeal/polenta tortilla cut in wedges and covered with dollops of cream cheese with chives, and topped with a slice of fresh tomato ~ I heated mine ~ adds a sort of summer time flavor. Just made them Sunday morning.
This stuff isn't rocket science, but she always has something you don't need bread or pasta to make.
And that's a good thing.
She cut her losses.
Folks full bore into capitalism know that sometimes you have to do that to move ahead. Her magazine people were bright. They worked well without her. When she returned to work there it was ~ even better, and she was much more relaxed than she would have been.
Freepers here advised her to "take it like a man and get it overwith" and she did. Ain't no thang.
Your two word post hit me days later like a ton of bricks. When did this happen?
It definitely is a ‘good thing’!
Her show is presented with class and perfection, which I find has been thrown by the wayside in this country. Instead, the popular Housewife and Jersey Shore shows keep rolling along.
My most favorite new show which was done with class and intelligence - A Gifted Man - is also in danger of not being renewed. I am really sad about that.
Junk TV is the name of the game - dumbing down of America I’m afraid.
