Thanks for paragraphing him.

The para about his father’s citizenship —— apparently no one cares. Apparently according to our courts’ interpretations, being born on the soil means natural born. Anchor babies can be president. Or El Presidente. Sad but true.

Years ago I stopped at the local car wash. The attendant looked a bit like a young Lee Harvey Oswald. Being a clever young man he had figured out that people getting their car washed like to be questioned and lectured by the attendant.

So he begins, “Excuse me sir but I notice you have a briefcase in your car and could it be you are an attorney?” Having not yet developed a clever answer I answer, and he proceeds to tell me how his “research” has demonstrated that the Commerce Department and most governmantal departments and actions are unconstitutional and illegal.

It seems his dad first pointed this out to him and his own research shows it’s true. He has written it all down and perhaps the next time I’m in I’d like to read it and give him my opinion. I say sure thing, that sounds very interesting.

So I never went back to that particular car wash. Just saying.

That the courts have a common and widespread misconception about the correct meaning of the term is a given. However, we should stop accepting what the courts say as the final word on the subject. It has been a long time since the courts accurately administered the law, and what respect they were previously due is no longer applicable to the modern courts.

They are wrong on Roe v Wade, they are wrong on Lawrence v Texas, they are wrong on Kelo v New London, and they are wrong on Wickard v. Filburn! We need to stop pretending the courts are always right when they are in fact WRONG.
