Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" won record and song of the year. Rolling in the Deep" is a song recorded by English singer-songwriter Adele for her second studio album, 21. The song was written by Paul Epworth and Adele, who described it as a "dark blues-y gospel disco tune. It is considered to be a crossover hit, the biggest in the United States from the past 25 years, gaining airplay from many different radio formats. It was first released on 29 November 2010 as the lead single of the album. The lyrics describe the emotions of a scorned lover.

Thanks, this fellow is good.
Dude’s better than the song he’s playing.
Adele’s cute. Nice lungs.
I saw Gene Simmons at the opening of the NAMM Show a few years ago.
He was his usual self, but he told the crowd that anyone could do what he has done. He said, I’m a Millionaire and I can’t even read Music.
That is a Bobby Dylan song
I wonder how many your dumb ass posts have.
Adele should have won, but one of the losers for song of the year, Bon Iver, got almost zero attention, and that’s a shame. Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon might be the best songwriter since Dylan. His first album was written, produced, and recorded over three months in a cabin in Wisconsin. That fact alone is astonishing if you have ever heard it. I hoped that Bon Iver’s Holocene would win, not because it’s better than Rolling in the Deep, but because Adele doesn’t need anymore fans, and the music world desperately needs Bon Iver. Check it...

Oh, and check one of Bon Iver’s booster clubs too....

I rarely notice pop music anymore
but I picked up on her right away
so have a lot of folks
a rare voice...
I know...some snob here will tell me opera voices are best yadayada...she doesn’t know how to sing...blah blah blah
Adele is in a class of her own in my view right now at this time...and thank God...she does not have to break it up acapella...man I cannot stand hearing pigs slaughtered
and she is heard as a woman singing without having to scream or shout
that is the tell right there....
few women can do that
I really love that song...I play it a lot on my droid in my truck
WOW! thank you for the link. That was incredible. Who is he? Are they any more youtubes of him playing? He is very talented.
Bon Iver got best new artist
that is hardly zero attention
Great song... thanks for that link!
My point would be that song of the year nominees should at the very least get some airtime. There is no bigger Beatle fan than me, but seriously.. McCartney’s throwaway tune “Valentine?” Why not feature a song that is competing with Adele for SONG OF THE YEAR that almost NO ONE has heard? My son called me and told me to check out Bon Iver a few months ago. It was different, and the lyrics are not easily deciphered, in other words, they have an artistic lilt. i would imagine that Dylanesque would be a good way to describe it. Not bad company, and sorely missing from standard FM fare today.
STALKING YOU? Thanks for the giggle. You truly are ridiculous.
It happens to me all the time...Don’t worry. Ipad malfunctions stink! Don’t you hate when it changes your words around???
Adele sang all right tonight. No vocal chord problem at all.
MFL.
“Deep what?”
Yeah, I wondered about that too...
Adele: “...the phrase “rolling in the deep” is sort of my adaptation of a kind of slang, slur phrase in the UK called “roll deep,” which means to have someone, always have someone that has your back, and you’re never on your own, if you’re ever in trouble you’ve always got someone who’s going to come and help you fight it or whatever like that. And that’s how I felt in the relationship that the record’s about, especially “Rolling in the Deep.” That’s how I felt, you know, I thought that’s what I was always going to have, and um, it ended up not being the case.”
