Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" won record and song of the year. Rolling in the Deep" is a song recorded by English singer-songwriter Adele for her second studio album, 21. The song was written by Paul Epworth and Adele, who described it as a "dark blues-y gospel disco tune. It is considered to be a crossover hit, the biggest in the United States from the past 25 years, gaining airplay from many different radio formats. It was first released on 29 November 2010 as the lead single of the album. The lyrics describe the emotions of a scorned lover.

My point.

I think you made it =). Not my style of music, but I think Adele has a lovely voice and sings with great soul. Like Whitney Houston used to, for that matter.

Oh well. I suspect that if you examined tonight’s Grammy nominees and winners, you might discover that fewer than 10% have been classically or otherwise formally trained. I bet they are all products of pop culture, who are mimicking the sounds that they had grown up hearing.

PUK was nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance
but lost to “Body And Soul” - Tony Bennett & Amy Winehouse.

IMHO, “Set the Rain on Fire” is just as good as “Rolling in the Deep.”

I won't turn the channel if this one comes on.

Back in the 80s I read that 90% of all Country and Rock stars couln’t read sheet music so this is nothing new.

I like Adele. She sings, at least, and seems to have some degree of true modesty about her. I can’t say the same for most of the hip-hop garbage. Speaking of, WHAT was that blasphemous crap song with the priest and altar boys? Just when you think Hollyweird can go a whole show without something completely vulgar, they go and remind you why they are utterly corrupt.

Adele, though, she is good in my book. Thumbs up to her.

Much like Amy Winehouse. “She gave so much to so many”

Forgetting what she was given on the day that she was born.

You lose by mocking her and a deceased Whitney Houston instead of enjoying their talent. And we all lose when liberals win converts by using comments like yours to convert empty minds.
