Oh well. I suspect that if you examined tonight’s Grammy nominees and winners, you might discover that fewer than 10% have been classically or otherwise formally trained. I bet they are all products of pop culture, who are mimicking the sounds that they had grown up hearing.
PUK was nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance
but lost to “Body And Soul” - Tony Bennett & Amy Winehouse.
Back in the 80s I read that 90% of all Country and Rock stars couln’t read sheet music so this is nothing new.
You’re not just a Revolting cat, you’re a flea infested, mangy haired Copy cat.
We know!!!
I like Adele. She sings, at least, and seems to have some degree of true modesty about her. I can’t say the same for most of the hip-hop garbage. Speaking of, WHAT was that blasphemous crap song with the priest and altar boys? Just when you think Hollyweird can go a whole show without something completely vulgar, they go and remind you why they are utterly corrupt.
Adele, though, she is good in my book. Thumbs up to her.
see post 38.. Adele on David Letterman. The audience was in tears at the end her song.
Which pop act is the new Milli Vanilla, purely a Memorex concert experience?
Much like Amy Winehouse. “She gave so much to so many”
Forgetting what she was given on the day that she was born.
She “smokes” but bet she won't need an app on her Iphone to help her speak!
Scratch her off the list of potential candidates.............
Same here. That is how I first heard of Adele. A true talent.
It was a no music special. If they would quit jumping around all the time they have some breath left to sing.
Wow very impressive! I’m sure if he keeps it up that he will be famous one day.
I thought Bonnie Raitt sounded the best of any performer tonight.
Yeah, but was she singing from her diaphragm?
