It was sunny today, but cold. I don’t know about tomorrow. I hope you make it to Walmart safely!
Wow! Westminster Doggie Show is on USA now.
Goodnight and sweet dreams, y’all!
Bow wow! will watch for sure.
sweet dreams back at you!
I know, there’s a reason for everyhing.
But, doesn’t make it any less aggravativng.
I have heard that an effective, and cheap, way to get an area rug clean is with snow.
Just take it out to a clear area, and turn the rug upside-down on the snow. You can walk on it or pound on it, or let kids be destructive on it.
The idea is to get the snow into the fibers where the dirt gets collected by the snow. Like dry cleaning with snow.
After that, I'm not sure of the procedures, but I think it involves beating the rug a bit and then taking it back in to the warm so it can dry.
For those Up North confused about their seasons ...
LOL! Good morning!
Jake is feeling much better today. He ate most of the food, and then he sailed over the gate with at least 12” clearance to jump on Shannon. Now he’s sitting in the kitchen insisting that I let him out. (I let Shannon out - she was in the kitchen cursing the people who invited Jake to come back.)
Inform Jake that he has a chair to theft.
He’ll forget about ‘outside’ for a bit.
He got into the garage while I was getting dog food. Maybe he’ll catch a mouse!
Mowse catch HIM!*
*Said in feline Russian accent.
He just came back and told me he wants more food.
Time to get the Offspring up.
It’s hard work for him to annoy Shannon.
Next he’ll compare notes with Ash.
Maybe they’re looking for an invasive insect species.
I don’t think I’ll make it to Walmart. It is very cold and very wet outside, and I don’t have warm enough outerwear to brave the mile walk. *sigh*
“...doesnt make it any less aggravativng.” You’re correct, as usual.
People have this irritating inclination to do things I don’t agree with.
That gives me two options. The second option is to do what I can to improve the situation. As long as society doesn’t collapse, I’ll go along with the second option.
It’s a peculiar thing, but being in a location that’s completely different from the one where we were born and raised, we didn’t expect social acceptance. However, three distinct groups of people with societal/ethical constructs similar to ours appear to have emerged, and we seem to have coalesced with them after a relatively short period of time of having stopped traveling. One of those groups is composed of people who like animals. They don’t necessarily anthropomorphise them or anything, this being a woodsy (logging) and/or agrarian environment, but it’s like an underground railroad when an animal in need presents itself. All the feelers go out to see who picks up the ball.
What it seems to boil down to is the forces of good vs. the forces of evil + the demons of stupidity.
I wish I could post funny, smart stuff like the rest of y’all. To make up for rant, I’ll get photos of Crowbar and post.
Ranting is an Approved Undead Activity. You can also post your fiction, poetry, art (as long as it’s not huge), reports on your home improvements, discussions of your dreams, and just about anything else. Only argument (not to be confused with exhanging differing opinions ;-) is excluded.
I’ve spent the morning helping James finish the last requirements for his Wolf Cub rank. (Wolf Cubs are 2nd grade Cub Scouts, 7 or 8 years old.) I’ve had seven boys with my group all year, and they should all get their Wolf badges this weekend. One boy joined after Christmas, so he should finish his Wolf activities by the time we wrap up meetings in May.
One of the Wolf requirements is starting a collection. James has collected pictures of places he would like to visit and put them in a notebook. Free, and it takes up almost no space! Bill had a postcard collection - many interesting items, because my mother was doing a lot of international travel at the time. Tom had souvenir smashed-pennies from different zoos and museums. I can’t remember what Pat’s collection was ... alternate personalities, perhaps.
