This is absolutely gorgeous, Amy. Beautiful song, too. Sorry about my busy week. I certainly didn’t mean to let you down this week but sometimes things all pile up in one week. Yesterday’s opening was also nice and the thread was beautiful. I do hope next week will be better for me. I have to go out again today but will drop by when I can.
Thank you Amy, for all you do for Amy’s Place. I guess sometimes we wonder what we’d do without you....LOL! Don’t mean to pressure you, just telling the truth.

HAPPY THURSDAY TO AMYS PLACE!
Sunset at Galway Bay, Co. Galway, Ireland
Galway Bay
If you ever go across the sea to Ireland Then may at the closing of your day You will sit and watch the moon rise over Claddagh And see the sun go down on Galway Bay.
Just to hear again the ripple of the trout stream The women in the meadows making hay And to sit beside a turf fire in the cabin And watch the barefoot gossoons at their play.
For the breezes blowing oer the seas from Ireland Are perfumed by the heather as they blow And the women in the uplands digging praties Speak a language that the strangers do not know.
For the strangers came and tried to teach us their ways They scorned us just for being what we are But they might as well go chasing after moonbeams Or light a penny candle from a star. And if there is going to be a life hereafter And somehow I am sure theres going to be I will ask my God to let me make my heaven In that dear land across the Irish sea.

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

I love Dianna Ross. Saw her in Vegas years ago. She did her show in sequins and furs and after several encores and we didn’t leave...she came out in Levi’s and a sweatshirt and did another 30 minutes...and she “got down.” I think she enjoyed it as much as we did. She was relaxed and just sang.
