I peeked once at Drudge in the last 48 hours. He was mocking Newt over Cain’s endorsement(Cain endorsing Newt instead of Colbert).
Redstate for opinion, Parcbench for culture/media stuff, CNS News for headline news.

Why bother? You’re a conservative and can’t be harmed by seeing things you disagree with while looking for news.
Anything you really need to know about politics and current events will have at least one thread going about it HERE. You don’t need another place to go.
If we keep this up, no one is going to agree with anyone else about ANYTHING! Reminds me of the old saying (very paraphrased) “everyone’s wrong except me and thee, and I’m beginning to wonder about thee”
Why not just stick with FreeRepublic and get rid of the middle-man?
At least Townhall didn’t do the full on Newt dump-in fact they have had quite a few articles defending him (or even promoting him over RINOmy). I know they’re still Rino/establishment, just standing up for them in this instance.
Write your own blog then read it back to yourself. That way you can always be assured that you’re reading articles that you agree with.

You’ve already found it. FR is about all that’s left. Even Human Events soils itself by still keeps Ann Coulter around. Every major “conservative” news/opinion site except FRee Republic has sold its soul to the GOP establishment.
I like having several sites to read as well, and like someone else already said it is not about shielding my eyes from things I don't like; it is about not giving those in the establishment the revenue from my visit to their website.
I have American Thinker on my favorites. Years back I hear Rush mention it once. Quite a few years back. Rush is getting boring lately, and is a republican before he is conservative.. Everytime he gets married, he gets boring. Too much viagra taking the blood from his brain I guess..
