The Sleeper Has Awakened!
Vanity ^ | Jan 22, 2012 | piytar

They just don't get it. Who? The establishment GOP. Barbour, Christy, Coulter, et al.

We are sick of spineless "leaders." We are sick of the left dominated media. We are sick of the "go along to get along" establishment GOP.

We've been castigated, marginalized, taxed, and beaten down for years.

Now comes Newt. For all his past flaws, he clearly hears our roar. We have a fighter, a real leader. And we could care less about the ankle biters.

Hear this, establishment types: Newt has awoken a sleeping giant. As history shows, this particular giant is an unstoppable force. So get on board or get run over. Frankly, I don't care which you choose.

“One thing’s for certain: there is no Kwisatz Haderach here.”

Oh, there is, but he’s not in the race. Name is Lt. Col. West.

I really hope Newt picks West as his VP. A West/Biden debate would be almost as good as a Newt/Obama one!

People have been hungering for this since about 2004. Bush just took everything the Dems could throw at him and said nothing. Our side is sick of it, and more so because in the last 20 years the so-called objective media has become nothing except Dem/Liberal cheerleaders.

For someone like Romney to say that Obama isn't a bad guy, he's just "in over his head" is simply dishonest and everyone on our side knows it. Obama has succeeded beyond his wildest dreams in dismantling the country, and our guys need to address it.

Newt, whatever his flaws, has. And in the process, he pulled the curtain down on the so-called objective press.

Perhaps, if he keeps up a forceful, yet positive approach, he can change more minds. He has to re-convert many people who lost faith in him.

I think he can do it.

Newt has the Chops to hold his own in a fight with the media, the Dems and Congress. He is sharp as a whip and sooo articulate. The problem I have with him is that I do not trust that he holds his new Conservative positions on regulations and the environment from his heart - that he is not just conveniently embracing what conservative voters want to hear.

People can change their pilosophies and beliefs. I just need more convincing that Newt has made a turn from the Climate Change/Sustainable Development/Wildlands Project credos he previously embraced in his support of various legislation.

“We should just do what our “leaders” tell us.”

This is one of our problems. They are not only not “leaders” they are our employees. We are supposed to trust them with the country. They have so badly screwed things up that they need to just sit down and shut up. We’re taking charge now. I would also like to start sending these jackasses to prison.

The time to act is NOW!

I hope that when Newt is in the White House, that the libtards nickname him “Slasher” for cutting and deleting gov departments and programs. Newt is not in it for a popularity award. He KNOWS that this is a chance to go down in the historys books as a great president. And we all know what history means to him.

What you wrote is a lot like this from Nov 2004:

OMG!!

I just checked. RLegacy was banned?

What’s going on here? How can someone be banned for a post like that? I saw no foul language. No offensive attitude. And, most importantly, no warning.

I’ve tried to get on DU and get banned for simply trying to take a middle ground position. I’ve prided FR on its willingness to allow various opinions as long as there was a fairly reasonable modicum of respect. I am thinking I need to revise that thinking.

And what troubles me the most is where I find my mind going right now: That I risk being banned for this post.

We're facing the flipside of Obamaworship over here now apparently.

Disrespect Dear Leader and it's off to Siberia with you.

Astonishingly lame for a political forum, if you ask me, but nobody asked me.

I didn’t know people could be banned for their opinions. I honestly thought that a strong knee-jerk liberal could be a member here if he was relatively respectful in his posts.

Key word: Relatively (which is a subjective term, unfortunately)

And if us conservatives are worth our salt, we will pummel him logically.

But we wouldn’t ban him. That is the low road.

BTW, eventually liberals “commit suicide” on sites like this if you give them time. The ad-hominem and eventually strong name calling give them more than enough excuse for someone like JimRob to pull the trigger.

It’s fun to watch it happen. But there should be some sort of warning, for crying out loud.
