I think it was nerves. He planned one thing then with 30 minutes to go had to change his plans. He might he might have just needed some moral support from family.

Time will tell indeed...but he was also wasting the limiited rehersal time he had, with the voice coach...and kept them all waiting too...so it was at a minimum, pretty danged unprofessional.That being said...I hope he can harness his emotions a bit.
