Shepard Smith looks like he's going down hill very quickly. Has anyone heard anything about his status? I don't mean to make light of it or wish him ill but it looks like something is going on.
Have noticed this for some time and he has taken time off with no explanation, think he has some type of Cancer or Aids!
“radioactive zone”? I never heard it called that!!
THAT cracked me up!
I teach in that town, public school. Have several friends I teach w/ who went to Marshall or sent/send their kids there. After one year in the district I COMPLETELY understand why parents send their kids there!
There is an all day in service tomorrow w/ a team from the delta who like telling the white teachers how we need to open our eyes & “remove the rose colored glasses.” I’m not kidding. I’m thinking there will be many people calling in “sick” tomorrow. I all ready have!
Could be meth addiction - are his teeth rotting?
I think you are right.
I haven’t seen him in a while, until the other day, and I thought the same thing. He looks like he is wasting away. I googled his name and the word sick and on another site someone was asking this “How come all the reporters that went to Japan in March of 2011 are becoming ill?” I’m not sure if that is true or not, but an interesting question.
Have been wondering the same; though hardly his ‘biggest fan’; thought about writing and telling him to give up ‘vegan’ or whatever he was doing; and go reclaim his cheeks. The thinner he gets; the more years he loses. He now looks ten years older; in a matter of months. Thought, too; perhaps he is actually ill; but no mention of course. No viewer of Fox News, can miss the change in Shep.
Whatever the reason; hate to see this. Hope it is diet and that he will pull out of it; rather than any slippery slope of serious illness.
aids is so treatable npw that people with aids dont look as sick as tjey used to. OTOH eating disorder, dieting because of vanity, metavolic syndrome, et occurs. And cancer.
Aids is actually way down on my list.

Remember that; and questioned not only his sanity; but that of Fox News. Hope ‘it’ did not get him; but who knows; yet; anyway. . .
I rarely watch Shep (in fact, make it a point to not watch him) but caught sight of him yesterday and then just a bit today when he was reporting on something, I think not on his show and asked my husband to take a look at him this evening and he responded by asking me if Shep had been sick or something.
I responded that I didn't know but from observing his drawn and lined face (which I do not remember looking quite so bad) but we do know of some people who have become so thin with such low body fat that they have aged at least 20 years.
re your 2009 and last week picture of Shep... reminds me of Rock Hudson, who looked skeletal in a last TV appearance, but had always been a physically robust guy until shortly before then.
sorry, typing on the ipad is hideous!
Shep has more viewers than all the other news shows in his time slot combined.
Shep = 1.686
More Slanted News By Communists (MSNBC) = 805
CNN = 376
HLN = 398
I don’t know, I didn’t even know who Shep Smith was until I did a search. Looks like Mediaite and HuffPo enjoy bitching about him, so it’s no surprise that he’s on Fox News. Thanks Dysart.

Shep can be very annoying, but I'll never forget the day he was on when rescue crews were trying to retrieve a dog from the Los Angeles river . It was a very tense situation, as there was concern the attempts would fail and the dog wouldn't survive. All the cable news channels had extended live coverage(went on for a couple of hours)----even commercial delays. Shep didn't want to break from the dog he called "Fido", and contributed some levity for the audience's sake with his humorous comments. I have to say that did endear him to me a bit.
I've noticed his appearance in recent months, too, and I hope he is okay.
