Are there any conservative third party candidates of note this go around?
I don't vote for progressives, and that includes Romney. So tell me about your candidates.
My candidate is the GOP nominee because third party candidates elect Democrats and this cannot happen this year. Period.
Romney is a democrat.
Everybody knows it.
Let’s get through more than 2 contests before you wave the white flag.
Go away. Let’s hear from the S. Carolina VOTERS first. Remember — voters? They surely do matter somewhere here, don’t they?
If Newt, Santorum, and Perry don’t get their acts in gear and do it quickly - two out of three need to leave.
If the conservative vote doesn’t become a sole concentrated voting bloc then it’s over. South Carolina is probably the end of the road.
I can’t stand how the republicans have their primary system set up, it’s so favorable to the establishment.
But as far as the GOP’s war against conservatism, that has indeed been a success. No doubt about it.

By all means, do whatever you can to assure the reelection of Obama. It is clear that those who want a third party candidacy are really trying to get Obama reelected, because THAT IS THE ONLY POSSIBLE RESULT FROM A THIRD PARTY RUN. There will be NO third party candidate elected to the presidency. It will not happen.
I agree with this reply (you should too....unless you WANT another four years of Obama):
“My candidate is the GOP nominee because third party candidates elect Democrats and this cannot happen this year. Period.”
THIS year is CRITICAL for the USA.
I’ve said for several years now that we are in a 100 year economic/social storm. There is no human or political solution. My risk mitigation is to become a prepper, not to vote in someone from the current crop to fix this. None of them can.
The train has gone off the tracks and changing engineers will not help. All you can do is find a good place to ride it out. It’s what I’ve done. It doesn’t bring any guarantees, but at least I feel more in control of my own destiny.
You can vote for a progressive like Romney?

Would you prefer that I just stay home? What are you going to do about the senate and house then?
I’m not interested in losing the house and senate just because the GOP has a lust to give the whitehouse back to Obama.
—————Ive said for several years now that we are in a 100 year economic/social storm.——————
I happen to agree with that.
And no matter who wins out of Romney or Obama, the progressives win in their plan. Romney is a progressive too. He has said as much, and look at all of his positions.
I really hope two out of three of the conservative candidates can respectfully bow out after SC. Cause if not, then it’s over.
Every election can be touted as the year that "this cannot happen." Every election will then result in a crap candidate foisted upon us by the progressive Republican party because we fall for the same scare-tactic crap every time.
I'm done.
If Romney is nominated, then I will vote for whatever nonentity the Constitution Party serves up. The Constitution Party candidate will lose. Either R0mney or 0bama will be in the White House, and America will be under the bootheel of a committed socialist.
I hope that will be "all the way to the White House".
We don’t even need a 3rd party, just a 2nd one. But people ignore the fact that there’s been at least one 3rd party winner, so I don’t know why they keep pretending it’s impossible. Besides, Perot may very well have won too, if he hadn’t jumped in and out.
In any event, I agree with you. After last election, in which I voted McCain/Palin, for Palin’s sake, I vowed to never vote for an unacceptable candidate again. And I won’t. I will vote third party, or write in someone of my choosing (no idea who that would be at the moment).
ly I believe as “Cuban Leaf” said, it won’t matter who wins or loses the election. I said just today to a colleague, it amounts to shuffling the chairs on the Titanic. Not a single Republican Candidate wants a return to a Constitutional form of government, NONE. And there will only be further decay and loss of freedom without the Constitution, so it doesn’t really matter if we hit the wall at 100 MPH or 400 MPH we’re still toast. Remember, Republicans voted for the NDAA right next to the Democrats. There’s no party difference, and no one in politics is going to save us.
“We the People” will fix the problem, or no one will. Don’t look for any solutions/remedies from Washington, they’re merely fueling the problem.
If you don't have a horse in the race, then at least hang on until the nominee selects a running mate. Can you remember back to the weeks before McCain chose his VP? Good God, there was almost a suicide watch on Free Republic members. We disliked McCain as much or more than we do Romney today. But McCain chooses Palin, and us same McCain bashers on FR are breaking out our check books or asking how we can volunteer.
Even Romney is better than obama for 1 VITAL REASON- Supreme Court nominees. We CANNOT afford to let obama nominate ANY more-!!!
