Like you I am wondering if this is more of an immigrant problem - gypsies, Eastern Europeans - people who don’t have better to go back to and don’t have family in Greece who can help.

I agree. This has all the characteristics of tabloid sensationalism. And I don't even have a Greek-sounding screen name.
