In truth, a “sniper rifle” is such mostly in how it is employed in a given instance. I’m pretty sure the first “snipers” used smoothbore muskets.

In truth, a sniper rifle is such mostly in how it is employed in a given instance. Im pretty sure the first snipers used smoothbore muskets. If you want to be a sniper - you want the best weapon to reach out and touch someone. The SVD would be the worst choice. ANY hunting rifle will beat it.
