Yes, Skooz. I’m alone tonight, and tomorrow as well.
I am at the VA Center in Ohio, where I’ve been for the last year, trying to rebuild my life after my divorce. next month, I shall move to Florida to live with my sister, and start a new life.
But for now, I am eating Domino’s pizza and lurking about FR sending my best wishes for everybody else’s fellowship.

Merry Christmas to you Old Sarge. I just recently spent the day caroling at our local VA. I wish you could have been there it was magical and a great honor to sing for those that have and do serve our country. God bless you Old Sarge.
Waiting for the cheesecake to cook and going to a midnight service with family and friends. Should be a wonderful evening. Reminiscing about those who won't be coming home for the Holidays.

Take it from someone who knows: There is life after divorce Old Sarge, and I wish you the best. Been divorced since ‘79, raised my two sons by myself, and never remarried. It took me a while to realize it, but many of the things I accomplished in my life, I never would have been able to do had I remained in a bad marriage. I took a sad event, learned from it, and moved on to a better life. I live alone, and that’s the way I like it.

Earlier this evening I took my grandkids to see the neighborhood’s Christmas lights. They’ll be back in the morning but right now I’m enjoying “It’s a Wonderful Life” with my two German Shepherds.
