In case the morning talk show profiles, CNN updates and frequent monologue jokes weren't enough to demonstrate the cultural zeitgeist of Tim Tebow, the Denver Broncos quarterback was the subject of a sketch on this weekend's episode of "Saturday Night Live."

I think that could be a great sketch, have Mohammad as QB of one team, Jesus as the other. Every play ends up with a penalty, such as “Not Washing Feet Before Game - 15 yards”, “Use of Left Hand - 5 yards”, and the big one - “Looking at Mohammad - Death!”
I’m paraphrasing...but in the beginning of the skit when Tebow sees Jesus, he says “He is risen!”
And Jesus corrects him - says something like - no,no, not yet - just dropping in for a minute.
Obviously - the moron who wrote the sketch hasn’t wrestled with christian theology much and doesn’t have a clue what Easter is all about.
Evil is as evil does.
God will not be mocked.
But Tebow will...

I remember SNL.
Obviously - the moron who wrote the sketch hasn’t wrestled with christian theology much and doesn’t have a clue what Easter is all about.

Funny, I don’t recall seeing anything about Easter in the Bible. Please show me where God mentions Easter in the Bible.
However, I know there’s LOTS of important passages regarding Passover.
There are a few passages describing a certain resurrection as well.
The skit was typical SNL writing and actually quite funny.
They should remember what happened to the last SNL comedian who made light of Jesus (Phil Hartman).
Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is funny? Against Jesus who is God in the flesh, and who hung on a cross to save us is funny? This actor damned himself to an eternity in hell here, and it’s funny? Think about that.

ESPN called Tebow “polarizing in an election year” and Bob “liberal excuse machine” Ley echoed the same seniment. Secular Progressives who hate Christians more than the Muslim hordes, the suicide cult continues it’s march to the Ukraine, Dachau or the Killing Fields.
Liberal self hate never ceases to amaze me.

That would just make my day. I see it now, the media won't be able to stop talking about it for weeks.
SNL has not been funny for close to 20 years now. The last good cast was the one with Dana Carvey, Phil Hartman, Kevin Nealon, etc......It’s incredibly lame now. The Obama sketches are horrific.
