She might quit that position if you file a frivolous lawsuit though. She hates that.

It takes a small person of low character to say something like that about one of this nation's finest patriots.

You're a foul odor in the fresh air of Free Republic, humblegunner.

One aspect that doesn’t get mentioned as often is that all those “ethics charges” against Palin were being reported as blazing headlines. Every week a new one. The media was using them to deliberately paint her as the most CORRUPT politician in America. It was working. When the charges were dismissed, that ‘never’ made the headlines; it was buried deep by the media.

So, in addition to having her family being deliberately bankrupted and tossed into severe debt (it was heading up into the millions range at the rate it was going), had she stayed in office, with all those negative ‘ethics’ headlines, her name would have been absolute mud. Which itself would have killed her political worth and viability. Now, had the GOP come rushing to her defense when all this was going on, she might have indeed been able to stay in office and combat all that. But they didn’t lift a finger to help her. She was in a hellacious box, and frankly did the only thing she could. Anyone condemning her as a ‘quitter’ because of her action are pathetic morons.

Lindy, your views about Sarah Palin are well established at Free Republic. You’ve never liked her. You spent well over a year polluting every Palin thread on this website with your PDS ramblings against her.

And here you are again. Like a moth drawn to a flame, you just can’t resist dumping on Palin, despite the fact she’s not running.

She quit trusting the establishment a long time ago.

Viable or not, I don’t care. I’m still going to vote for her via “write-in.”

Why? She doesn't want your vote, and she'd probably tell you straight up that your being foolish to waste it on a non-candidate who does not seek the presidency.

It’s the closest thing I can think of to kicking in the teeth of the GOP Establishment scumbags, which at this point is what I crave more than anything.

Then you've clearly lost sight of the big picture and are just bitter and angry that your favorite candidate was not interested in running. Writing in Sarah Palin proves nothing to anyone. No one will notice or care.

Sadly, there are some in our camp who either don't have the mental horsepower and clarity of mind to process those simple facts, or they're so irrationally prejudiced against this woman, that they refuse to apply their God-given powers of reason to sort out what occurred.

Either way, I think it's a sad commentary on the state of mind of some on our side. We all want to think the very best of our compatriots, but some of them just do not see as clearly as the majority.

This is nothing new. The same sort of variation in mental awareness existed during the formation of this country. Chalk it up to the human condition. It's a pickle barrel, and not all of them float to the top.

also, the DEMS and PUBS at the Alaska state house shut her out of the legislature and wouldn’t pass anything from her docket. The Dems were on orders from DC not to help her or risked getting primaried. The Pubs wanted to go back to the good old days of the CBC (corrupt bastards club).

She was getting into debt, locked out of the statehouse, getting smeared and nothing was getting done.....and no one (McCain’s campaign or the RNC) lifted a finger to help. After the Gifford’s shooting the RNC was as useless as teets on a bull.

To all of the naysayers and backbiters...when your candidate gets the bum’s rush and you need help and support (man the phones, canvass the districts, etc.,) don’t come asking me for help. You pissed on my leg and told me it was raining.

I am no longer worried about the fools who got took. If you fail to see it...well, too bad.

Anything you say anymore has no merit. You threw your attention to the wind, Windflier.

I won’t apologize for pointing out the truth. Your non candidate is still trying to set up another reality show, perhaps you need to face reality.

Believe me, I know. The GOP/RNC didn’t lift the tiniest finger to help one of their own, when she was being deliberately bankrupted by Dem operatives, when her church was set afire, when she and her family were being dragged through the tabloid mud, and Hollywood scumbags were making ‘rape’ jokes about her underage daughter.

So, then in 2010, Palin goes all-out for the GOP, crossing the country over and over, getting candidates elected, and helping the Party take back the House. How is she repaid? Well, the newsmedia accuses her of complicity in the mass-murder in Arizona, and once again, the GOP is nowhere to be found, quietly letting her be raking over the coals once again.

I’ve been a Republican my entire life, voting exclusively GOP, but these past three years really opened my eyes to what a cowardly, loathesome bunch of creeps run the Party.

OMG, just blow your crap somewhere else, why don't you? I can't believe how sick in the head you are about Sarah Palin.

Dear God, seek help.

Tatge tells the publication, adding that he believes that Palin would likely need to “atone for quitting the job of governor.”

Palin needs to address this kind of comment with “ I have no need to atone for anything. I was the only one injured by my resignation and I resigned knowing what that injury would be. By resigning, I ended the democrat assault on the State of Alaska which had frozen its government and prevented our state from continuing the progress we had made prior to my run for VP. The democrat FOIA requests and lawsuits gave me a choice. I could either remain for another year and a half drawing my $130,000 a year salary and accomplishing nothing or I could resign and allow Alaska to get back to work with the target of the attacks no longer in office. Being Governor of Alaska was my dream job and I had no desire to leave office early but I could not allow the people of Alaska to continue being punished by the democrat Party just because I was its governor.”

Your premise it that all along, Palin was only pretending to want to run. This is an unequivocal conclusion about her motivation leading up to her announcement in early October.

If the premise is true, your comments are valid.

If false, your own words show you to be a complete idiot.

I’m another of those who is going to vote for her whether her name is printed on the ballot or written in. This may well be my last election and I’m damned if I’m going to vote for some @$$ho!e just becausae he has an “R” after his name and a fat cat from the beltway says I should. This time I intend to vote for the one person I truly believe is best suited to steer this once great country out of danger and back to greatness. There’s still time for another candidate to show up and dazzle us and if that happens I may well vote for him but none of those campaigning now is worth my vote. The tired arguement that I might as well vote for Obama is simply nonsense. If the American people vote him in again they (and we) deserve whatever happens.

Speaking of how one perceives reality, your story about Palin and her supposed attempt at another TV show comes from an unnamed source.

That's your reality, Indy.

Palin and Cain possessed fire, but flamed out. There is no fire now. I can’t see much of a turnout with what is left, and I’m sure Obama is counting on it.

The instant I read that, I knew the author was a stupid pontificating 'Rat.

Sarah does not have to 'atone' for anything.

I know I would like to place my college years under permanent seal.

Sure, why not? Obama did! </s>

Actually, I want his crap dumped all over the street, like he did for Jerry and Jeri Ryan. Turn about is fair play, and all that.
