OK, this is not a flame thread. I'm genuinely curious why conservatives think Communism is so evil.
I am a Communist. I am also a God-fearing Christian, a tax-paying and loyal American, and a generally nice guy. Communism was perverted by third world despots and was never implemented fully in its true form.
Communism is about cooperation and good will. And it's important to note that economic success and cooperation are not mutally exclusive. In fact, I would argue greater cooperation among individuals leads to more prosperity and more overall happiness.

Good point, you are absolutely right. The “forbidden” class are those who don’t believe in and refuse to participate in the Communist structure.
In a free, Capitalistic society, if one doesn’t believe in it, they are free to experiment with what works best in their personal lives such as creating or joining a commune*, kibbutz, or similar community. In Communist controlled society, if you don’t believe in the Communist system, you can’t freely choose another path for yourself, you are “forbidden”.
*note: a Commune isn’t truly Communist because it is a community of those freely choosing to take part. Not a dictated structure.
Finally, Barack Hussein O’Mullah posts on FreeRepublic as NeinNeinNein!

He sounded a little like an Obama fan on this post (different thread) -

Sure you are. Getting bored living in the tent at the OWS camp and thought you would see if we would take the bait?
Come on, be more creative....
Communism only works so far as it is entirely voluntary.
The moment the first dissent starts, the only way it survives is thru brutal violence.
100,000,000 dead attest to this.
What in the world is third world about Russia?
I am sorry, but your question is intellectually dishonest and you know it. Anybody who has studied anything about the countries who adopted communism knows it is a total failure.
Grow up....
They are definately easy to spot.
In the fwiw category Ivan, communism has murdered about 120 million people in the 20th century. Socialism and fascism about 80 million people.
Capitalism, not so much.

Why am I almost never IBTZ?
Communism was perverted by third world despots and was never implemented fully in its true form.
It’s true form cannot be implemented as long as people are human. It will always lead to governments that are run by despots.
Books have been written on the topic, and it scarcely admits of being addressed adequately within the framework allowed by Internet postings. But I will ask one question, albeit I'm asking it of the dead. When you say "its true form was never tried" what on earth do you mean? We have concrete examples of what were perfectly sincere attempts to place Marx's precepts into practice and they all turned into hellholes that needed fences and armed guards to keep people in. The image of "true" Communism is an illusion, no more attainable than Disney's vision of Tomorrowland except that supposedly intelligent people apparently took, and take, it seriously.
I simply cannot imagine anyone with more than a passing familiarity of 20th century history to be able to pretend that the system can come out any other way than it did. Accidents don't happen that often or that consistently. Something foundational is demonstrably wrong with Communism and the proof - you claim to be a Christian, and so you must be familiar with Matthew, 7:16, regarding false prophets, "by their fruits you shall know them" - the proof is in the agony of the people subjected to a totalitarian social experiment and who were shot for attempting to opt out. We need to judge this not by flights of theory or expressions of noble sentiment, but by the blood-soaked earth within the Iron Curtain. The phrase seems almost antique now, which argues that for a time, at least, that evil has been banished, and evil it was. Do not attempt to see it or present it as other than it was. Do not attempt to resurrect it from the ignominious ash heap of history.
Too bad to, this guy needed edumacation and too many missed it here.
Hat tip to you ;)
Funny! God fearing Christian who believes in theft! What a joke!
