"The Big Broadcast is a Sunday night tradition for families throughout the WAMU listening area. Each week, Big Broadcast host Ed Walker offers listeners priceless recordings of popular radio programs from the '30s, '40s and '50s. Priceless, especially, for a man whose first sentence as a child was, 'Turn the radio on.' "

Ed’s starting with Christmas...
Hope this “Service Temporarily Unavailable” doesn’t cause too much of a problem tonight.

Sounds good, Vision.
We have not put up any decorations or a Christmas tree, yet, but I think we will, maybe next weekend.
Today, I worked in our yard, planted a bunch of pretty pansies, all different colors. It will be gorgeous when they get to growing well.

Charles is the original Johnny Dollar, though, so I guess he is the standard.

No, I think Bob Bailey is considered the standard. I need to check, not sure if that was episode #1. There is an audition/pilot show and then #1...

Evening, folks.......
"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away, for his name is Obama."

Hi, Viking!
This was a sad Gunsmoke. Poor Mr. Thatcher. He should’ve stayed sober for the race, then he may have stayed alive for it.

We’re still here, but we have switched to the radio to listen to the Saints-Detroit game. No score yet, right now in the first quarter.
