My posting sentiments are not 100% what I think of Newt. I do like the guy and appreciate his intelligence. To me he’s just a bit too cozy with the D.C. crowd. I want more of an outsider to kick D.C. squarely in the jewels at this point.

From the current horrible slate of candidates, my preferences are:

Paul
Palin (talked about but no declared)
Bachmann (at least she pays homage to the Tea Party)

Quite frankly, I’d rather have McClintock, Tancredo, Hunter and both Paul’s as a slate...and anyone else who is a solid Conservative and Libertarian...

=8-)

If the Democrats find a way to solve the Obama problem AND the Republican Party continues going with the current slate - the Republican Party will lose folks or it’ll be too close to call.

=8-(

I believe Sarah is going to be Perry’s VP, they are close and have a lot of respect for each other. SAME energy policies and governors that believe
In same policies. I have had a gut feeling from day 1 that our ticket is
going to be PERRY/ PALIN !!!! I know Perry has fumbled in debates,
however I believe he IS conservative with a strong faith, my gut feeling is
PERRY/ PALIN. Full disclosure I am a very strong Cain supporter, but
could support PERRY/ PALIN with GLEE!!!!!!

Sanctimonious! Wow. Hypocrisy plus ad hominem. The people who allowed Obozo to be elected because they refused to vote for the alternative so that their morally superior self could say “It wasn’t me” also lower themselves to the level of name calling! Should I have expected better? I guess not.

Right! Ron Paul's record of being a strong Constitutionalists is for the birds. What a nut, never voting for anything that was not constitutional. And he's always harping about the getting out of the glorious U.N., OH! THE NERVE! If that's not enough he has the audacity to think the Fed is part of our problems and actually wants to AUDIT it. Heresy!!! I'm going with the media and hoping we get more the same which will be guaranteed with a Newt, or Romney. U.S.A. - RIP

"Any one of those candidates (even Ron Paul) would be a huge step up."

Before or after the muslims fry every one of us because RP thinks we should just treat them nicely? I lean toward being a small "l" libertarian, but RP is absolutely nuts when it comes to preserving our Nation against unquestionable evil forces in the ME.

Perry tried to cherry pick when given the agency/department question...and of course screwed up.

When all he had to really do - no lying or cherry picking or mental reservations required - was simply quote the USOC.

That more than anything else identified him as just another CINO and RINO who finds the USOC inconvenient.

I honestly thought he would have been gone sooner... but it is very flexible here.. I think he watched his egg-shell steps closely (like non-seq) is doing now.. but I think he will get re-re-re-re-zotted again too soon ;)

Hmm, touchy situation.. should I be happy a FReeper gets zotted?!?! :O

Uhm.. yeah... if they are plants, no prob :D

It's been in the mid 60s here during the day. Tonight, it will be in the mid 20s.

This election has me more concerned than I have ever been. Oy.

Other than that, this is one of the best times of year.

You take care too. :)

Obviously the strategy of “screw voting for someone I don’t like” and letting Bammy stay in BECAUSE we have the House, doesn’t work too well because we get screwed on a daily basis from the EPA and the unions. That will not change even if we take the Senate because the Republicans in there now have yet to show the brass ones to take on either the EPA or the unions.

OK.. to begon with.. plese remember, I am a Texan.....

RP has brought Earmarks... THEN voted against those earmarks so he could show (on record) he was against it... :p then again, I think you knew that ;)

(He is not a total loon.. at least he knows how to use the corrupt system :p)

P.S.

I don’T want ANYTHING to do with that crap ;)

Honestly, the weather is much more nice (kind) to talk about.. unfortunately, the politics are ramping up exponentially >.<

I am with you, the elections are the most important thing (after family... but in this case, it includes politics/economy) :/
Very tough call here.. and I will not push one way or the other... do.vote what you think is right for the family(s)/people... I have trust and faith in you to make the best decision...

Other that all of this slime talk, please have safe holidays and watch for crazy drivers on the road! Please always make sure all in car are seat-belted (damn, I sound like a safety inspector :/ ) ... it’s getting dangerous anymore... heck I like riding my bike at 10 years old (without the helmet) and getting roadrash ;)

Anyway.. stay safe and be careful :)
