Last month we honored the Scrifice loss of a finger to a wall of text troll.
This month we are honoring/joking about bad dates.
And we silently snuck in this time too.

This premise would make a GREAT idea for a chick flick. Ive seen the genre so many times, I know it by heart. Girl hatches this sinister idea. After dozens of crummy dates looking for a free meal, meets the man of her dreams. Chick falls in love with him. Guy finds out that she was just doing it for the free meals, dumps her. She finds a way to get him back. The walk off together, fade out to smooching. I think you've got a winnah. Put this on an 'I hate Alec Baldwin' thread and you might have a movie... he reads us...

Sorry about the brain! Sounds like you’ll have a cold weekend, too. We have a sunny day forecast for tomorrow’s various Scouty-things. That reminds me, I need to find out if Bill needs any Merit Badges sewn on before tomorrow morning. They have to be all dressed up for the Mint Hill Senior Citizens’ Holiday Brunch.
I’m cooking some half-price beef. Ash loves me.

So what did the men who bought her dinner get?Germs?
To: ladyjane
They got to eat dinner, too.
If some of them went on five dates with her, she must have been entertaining in some way. Maybe she has a clever line of conversation ...

I was able to order replacement shark balloons for Tom this afternoon, $12 for 2. I charged him for the postage. Frank will be happy - he was very upset when the first one floated away!

I am very much into the utility of balloons.
If you’ll recall, the first flight of the Flying Castle was aided by hot-air balloons. (And jet engines; good source of hot air!)

Tom’s a good source of hot air, too ... but when the new balloons come, I’ll take him to Party City for another $.98 of helium. We’ll need crickets whenever that is, anyway. Dragon Baby was so hungry this evening that she was eating mustard greens!
Ash doesn’t love me anymore - I didn’t give her any of the beef. Only dog food. Also, I let it get cold outside.

You should invest in one of Heinlein’s “Door Into Summer” devices.
I’ve thought of doing that; have a room where I can control the climate completely, such as an indoor pool.
I think I know what would be the most popular hang-out place.

I guess a busy Saturday is being had by all! I had to be up early to give Bill a Mapquest to get to the location of the Senior Citizens’ party where the Boy Scouts are working today. They should be home soon. It’s a big thing, hundreds of attendees, and all the Scouts in the area help cook and serve.

"I guess a busy Saturday is being had by all!" That could be. I've already put in a half-day of work, or perhaps a day of half-work.
Now I have to attend to my chores.

Have fun! I’m going to take a nap. Then I’ll have to take Tom to the home of his driver for the Next Scouting Thing. (Bill’s not going.)

Many people would wait to discuss such a weighty matter. Then how much does someone who eats $1,200 worth of food weigh.

Hey folks.
I’m in a world record poker tournament today. 200,000 people.
It started @12:30 ET, and I’m in position 12363 out of the remaining 45249 players.
Any wishes for Run-Good would be greatly appreciated!
