California moved up a couple of spots in this annual study because other states are hiking taxes even faster and Golden State voters had to good sense to turn down a sales tax hike.

Nebraska had sent a delegation to Kalifornia with the express idea of luring them to the Heartland. If I recall the Omaha World Herald story correctly, they were successful, but not ready to make announcements just yet.

California ranks 46th in business friendliness Only 46th? I'm amazed. Our governor, Jerry "Moonbeam" Brown, along with our Democratic legislature seem hell-bent to drive all free enterprise out of the state.

San Francisco is very business friendly. It must have one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country. Everyone knows a guy can go to San Francisco and get a job.....hand or blow depending on how much money you want to spend.
