I do Christmas day with me family...Now that the majority of grandchildren are adults, I am never sure how many show up. But it usually runs about 20 to 25. In the past I have had my kids bring their in-laws if they have no place to go, sometimes a grandson will bring his girlfriend, but the food is buffet style, so there is always enough with the kids taking home lots of left overs....Everyone has a chance to go to church before we start...

A couple of years ago I said I couldn't do it any more, so my son and grandson clean the basement, my daughter cleans my house and all I have to do is furnish the food...Works out well for me :O)

Sounds like a great deal to me. My kids, including daughter in law, help me with different things. One son gets the stuff down from the attic and helps me get the tree up. Its pre-lit and beautiful but I put a lot of ornaments on it because it makes the tree. He and I decorate all the windows and front and back porch. A couple of years ago he put most of my lights on remote control so its easy at night to cut everything off and I love that part of it.

The other son will help me take it all down and put it away.

The daughter in law tells me what the older kids and the younger ones, too, like and sometimes she gets it for me and I pay her. She also comes a day or so before Christmas and helps me wrap and/or bag the gifts. I’m so grateful for their help as I have a few health problems like everyone else does. That happens as we get older. A few of us escape it but not many. But, I’m thankful for WHAT I CAN DO. And I’m very thankful that my kids do love me!
