BOX ELDER COUNTY, Utah—

Excitement turned to pain after a man suddenly received a shotgun blast to the buttocks while bird hunting with several companions Sunday.

Pipper the yellow labrador was the triggerdog behind the blast the sent his 46-year-old hunting companion to the hospital. Somehow, caught up in the excitement of the hunt, Pipper set off the shotgun that struck Brigham City native Robert Cottingham in the lower back and buttocks.

Heck, we had sweet potatoes last night. Baked them and served with a nice ham we’d gotten at the butcher. MMMMMmmmmmmm. Still enough ham left over for tonight, then again Sunday in a ham and scalloped potatoes casserole. Now that’s fine eating...

Not to mention the Chebby Dolt twoo beweivers who don’t mind their money going straight to Obama on every Volt sale.

But, but, didn't I see a thread in passing that GM may be willing to buy them back? I wonder what that news will do to their equilibrium...

Thank you, darlin'! I appreciate the virtual coffee since I can't drink the real stuff right now.

I'm as slow as Gary's youngest kid right now.

    1. No, your Yorkie is perfectly normal. Killing her will just break your heart, and mine too! Please!

    2. I have no idea what the zottee was talking about when he called me and momtothree "pumps" ??Huh?? Momtothree is on my ZOT LIGHTNING Ping List. You can get on that if you like, but AFAIK, there is no pump list. Mom? you want to be a listholder? It's just the three of us right now, but ping lists tend to grow. ZLPL started with two members, but it's up to 50 now. I've only lost two people.

    3. It's great that we brightened your day.

Actually, it's quite true. Men can be heavily influenced by Frequently eating regular portions of soy phytoestrogens.

I think that this guy proves it in his case. [smiles]

I had a bacon egg and cheese biscuit this morning. It was really good. And I didn’t give one thought to the pig, the chicken, or the cow that were involved in the process.

IATZ.

True or not, to us non-veganistas it’s a darned funny statement. You made my morning.

I spent 2 1/2 years working for a marketing company part-time (I’m retired), representing Science Diet to customers in a retail store. SD was heavily into educating us so we could converse with authority on dietary issues for pets. I learned a lot and am thankful for the opportunity it provided. Actually, had we gone to the next level in training we’d have been in the veterinarian level of pet dietary education.

Dogs are carnivores. Cats, omnivores. Pet food companies (not just Science Diet) spend a lot of money in research and development to insure good health in pets. Pet nutrition shouldn’t be taken lightly, nor should pets be considered mini-humans. Their needs are specific, and different from us. Perhaps the main issue confronting pet nutrition today is their owners not making adjustments to their diets through the pet’s life cycle. They age just as we do, and this needs to be taken into consideration when picking a proper food for an existing life style.

What this vegan ninny proposes is preposterous. If he wants to follow such a lifestyle, fine. It affects him, no one else. But to inflict it on his pets is a very bad decision.

Sorry, for sounding off, but this really tripped my trigger.

Not really....this shotgun was made in the teens or twenties. It’s a momentum hammer that rests slightly off the firing pin. It doesn’t have a firing pin safety. If is is dropped the wrong way, hammer pulled back or not, it WILL fire.

Your eyes did not deceive you.
Yes, GM is very generously buying back Volts with taxpayer money in a recall that is not being stated to be a recall because they trumpeted Toyota’s government forced recall as an admission of guilt/problems/bad design work.

Yeah, I see GM is willing to buy back Volts from buyers who fear it may catch fire, or recall/repair “after they can figure out what’s causing the cars to set on fire. Unbelievable.

But when Toyota made that recall on the marginal slim chance that something might be wrong, they were crucified.
GM, not a peep of condemnation for producing a vehicle with something actually wrong with it: I.e., the thing burns in an accident where the battery gets punctured.
In other words, any real world event where the car gets damaged is cause for concern.
Just what everyone needs, right?
Hop a curb and worry about burning to death.
