I think Herman Cain is doing it very well on his own.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that Herman Cain is being slandered.

Cain is too black and too blunt. Both traits are out of favor in a media which decides which line you must stand in to get what’s coming.

Not everyone on FR that is mocking, braying and crowing over these smears is a conservative. We have some Obots, I am convinced, who have been drawn to these slimes like flies to the sewer. It is as disgusting as anything I’ve seen on this site. Yes, there are good conservatives who are also slinging mud at Cain. But there are others w far more questionable motives.

Obama won both the 2004 primary and general election for the US Senate after his challengers imploded when their divorce files were unsealed.

Before the '04 primary, Obama was running behind Blair Hull when reporters suddenly learned that Hull's wife had taken out a restraining order during their 1998 divorce and that he had reportedly threatened to kill her. The publicity killed his campaign; no charges were filed, however and Obama went on to win the primary with 52% of the vote.

And, by the way: David Axelrod's fingerprints were all over this little episode as well as the Jack Ryan affair.

Unfortunately, I think the writing was on the wall yesterday when Rush Limbaugh's guest host Mark Steyn spent the first 1/2 hour of the show ripping on Cain with sexual innuendo about all the women riding the "Cain Train" and other thinly disguised sex jokes. When even what should have been the "friendly" media stabs you in the back, it's over. They won. It's going to be Gingrich versus Romney, and the only reason that Gingrich is somewhat immune to being "Cain'ed" is that he has so much baggage already that when the media dumps something like the Fannie Mae thing, the public just shrugs and says that's just "Gingrich being Gingrich".

Nope. But, I wish we could bust everyone of those media slugs that are dedicated to the demise of any Republican conservative. They just sit in their ivory towers with a rifle in their hand and pick conservatives off but ALWAYS give their communists/progressives/liberals a free ride. It disgusts me. Why are so many people in power/wealth so liberal when they always use the capitalist system to make their way? Grrrrrrr!

I am not voting for Cain in the primaries anyway, so no. Herman doesn't know enough about policy to be President. The damage from the various bimbo eruptions are a result of his own mishandling of them.

The latest one could have been put to rest easily had Herman simply come out and explained this 13 year friendship, why he was in regular contact with her, why was he helping her financially, and why his wife doesn't appear to have known about it. Instead he remains vague which leads many to believe where there is smoke, there is fire. It is not enough for his supporters to claims she is a low rent piece of trash. Yup, she appears to be exactly that - but this being the case, why on earth would Cain be giving her financial assistance? Cain just doesn't adequately explain any of this and because of that the story will never go away.

“We know the state-controlled media chooses our candidate”

In 2008 the MSM(working with the Democrats) chose McCain as the Republican presidential candidate. It worked to help McCain and to undermine the other candidates. A small part of this is documented in the book Game Change.

It is clear the MSM and the Democrats want Huntsman as the Republican candidate in 2012. If it is not him, it appears they want Romney or Gingrich.

Whoever the candidate is, he will be attacked relentlessly by the MSM as soon as he gets the nomination.

The most important attribute a Republican candidate must have is the ability to bypass the liars in the MSM and deliver his message directly to the American people.

If a candidate can’t do that, nothing else matters.

Just because Obama is a socialist doesn’t mean Jack Ryan wasn’t a scumbag. Neither one should have been elected/electable.

Ryan is a sick puppy. His own actions ruined his marriage and hurt his child. His own actions ruined his chances at public office. His only argument is that someone uncovered his degenerate secret.

Don’t think this argument helps Cain in the least. It just reminds the public that Republicans can be degenerates as well.

Please - Herman Cain is not only unprepared and not capable of beating Obama - he is a gaffe machine that will lead to electoral disaster.

He is imploding all on his own.

Welcome to the United Soviet States of America..where the Pravda State Media “vet” the candidates to the pleasure and needs of the RinoCrat UniParty.

This “election” will be a non-election...featuring the state approved “candidates”-whose only distinction is whether they are black or white.
