NBC News recently raised eyebrows when it announced a new addition to its reporting family – the daughter of a former U.S. President and the reigning Secretary of State.
Chelsea Clinton was hired and given the title “full-time correspondent” and is slated to work with “Rock Center with Brian Williams” and “NBC Nightly News” to spotlights stories within the network’s "Making a Difference" franchise, which acknowledges various individuals and organizations making a commendable difference in the United States and across the world.
The RUB? The Stanford University alumni, who graduated with a B.A in history and went on to work for an American investment firm, doesn’t technically have “journalist” among her list of qualifications.
In the recent edition of The Hollywood Reporter Magazine, media analyst Andrew Tyndall slammed the news organization for hiring an “imposter," suggesting that the high-profile human resources move was actually sending an implicit message to viewers that the quality of journalism NBC News delivers “is such a low standard that a rank amateur is qualified to stand in front of our cameras, just as long as she has a famous last name.

The MSM doesn’t care if they’re any good - they’ve got contacts and ‘ins’. Another black eye for ‘swinging door’ type journalism.

They are as probably as good as anyhing that claims the title “journalist” today. And that is not saying a whole lot.
NBC hired up Jenna (Bush) Hager in 2009. The network appears to make a habit of it. The kids cost less than the parents which probably means a better dollar:access ratio.
They are not “journalists” by any measure, except the idiot MSM’s. They got their jobs because they bash Republicans and heir dads are powerful.
When is the last time there was a “good journalist” at NBC News?
David Brinkley, maybe? It has been a long time.
The spoiled children of the Washington elite may be marginally worse than the politically correct airheads they have at NBC now but it doesn’t make much difference.
NBC ratings all across the board are in the toilet just for crap like this. Let them give Elliot Spitzer and Anthony Weiner their own sitcom for all I care. No one is watching them anymore.
Red Eye with Greg Gutfeld on FOX News at 3 AM get far better ratings than all the Prime time cable news shows in PRIMETIME. PMSLSD and CNN.

They are being used .
It is an affirmative action job for the kids of powerful parentage.
If their names were Chelsea Jones and Meaghan Smith these two would be somewhere a lot less prestigious.
Who gets the worst of this deal those who hire them knowing they are not qualified or those who sell themselves knowing they are not qualified?
They should call them “The H and H Kids”. One looks like a horse and the other is as big as a house!

If their last names were not Clinton or McCain they would get hired to read the farm markets on Podunk TV. Who does NBC think they will attract as viewers?
Because the leftist children of Republican politicians ALSO have a place waiting for them in journalism - especially if they are willing to badmouth their parent and their policy positions.
