But this year threw the rhythm off with the stores all opening earlier. Instead of spending more time with family, and getting some rest, I have gals here now in bed with limited shopping done. It was all the chaos with people with full stomachs, and awfully tired after the days events trying to get where everyone else is at the same time; stores only letting a certain number in at once, etc.
Bottom line: The girls say they are NOT doing the early Thanksgiving shopping again. They say the early shopping for 'a chance' at a good deal is not worth the time taken away from family. What say you folks?
The floor is now open for discussion.
I’ve spent my entire Black Friday with my 2 1/2 year old while hubby puts up the outside Christmas decorations :0) Wouldn’t have it any other way..
Got up as usual around 0800, then went to MC sports and got good deals on a Ruger LC9 and an Everlast speed bag kit.
My wife and children LOVE Black Friday shopping. I detest it.
They left home at 9:30 PM last night as stores started opening. I stayed home and relaxed.
They just arrived home at 10:30 AM (it is now 11 AM) and all went to bed happy.
My wife said the crowds here in our part of VA were much larger than last year. I hope it is true.
I don’t have an opinion. Mrs. Liberty and I made the decision years ago that we weren’t going to leave he house on Black Friday. But we’re weird.
Tigerdirect.com has an AOC 24” [23.6] monitor for $119.99 and a Samsung color laser printer for $79.99

Black Friday’s too big to fail. Ain’t it?
I never do Black Friday shopping, partly because the kinds of gifts we give each other in our family aren’t the kind you get by going to the mall. But my son went out last night at ten and drove over to Walmart with his friends, just to see if they could get in and snarf up a few modest buys for Christmas. They couldn’t find a place to park, the lines were too long to bother parking a long way off and hiking in, so they came home.
It was all about family for us. Nobody shopped. Great time...good food...love abounded! God blessed the occassion in every way.
My trip home about 9:00 this morning...little traffic...less than a busy weekend under normal conditions. Will be heading into the “zoo” for work later...am NOT looking forward to dealing with the animals...and they are that on this day.
