At least one tribe did that I know of. They were called the Flat Head tribe by White men, I don't know the Indian name for their tribe, perhaps some other FReeper does know.

Yes there were, and in Peru of all places. The “alien” story is as old as the discovery of the first bound baby skulls. Nothing to see here, and I have no idea why the media would recycle such an old story. I suppose the author and the source publication are dolts is a fine excuse.
