Its been almost two years since I posted at Big Hollywood regarding the Top 10 Most Overrated Directors of All Time. Ive had a chance to reflect and think about the crimes I committed in that post. And, to paraphrase Mr. Eko from the greatest TV show of all time, Lost, I ask no forgiveness because I have committed no sin
except leaving Spike Lee and Tim Burton off the list, that is.
So, because you all enjoyed that list so much, and because I apparently have a death wish, its time for another: The Top 10 Most Overrated Actors/Actresses of All Time

Like Tom Selleck turning down Indiana Jones That's another great example. Can you imagine? As great as the first Indy Jones movie was, I can't imagine it succeeding like it did with Ford. And generally, I don't even like Ford very much. But that role was made for him. Best thing he ever did.

Agreed. Not a fan generally, but notice how Ford uses his hands.
I’m a fan of the man’s hands!
Most expressive hands EVER.

Has he seen Goin’ South? I thought he was hilarious in that movie.

Streep and Eastwood were so mismatched and so different from the characters in the book, I doubt anyone cared if they ended up together or not.

I can't imagine any other actress playing that role better.
Particularly the flashback where she was in Auschwitz employed as Höss's Sekretärin.

I thought Something’s Gotta give was one of the best movies in years because of the cast and the interaction between them. Keaton was incredible and so was Nicholson.

I liked Gere in Breathless, a quirky remake of the original with Jean Paul Belmondo. I also thought he was decent in American Gigolo.

I detest Matt Damon but he was good in the Talented Mr. Ripley but I have to wonder if he really had to act the part. He seemed awfully at ease with that role. Weirdo!

Wasn't that freaky? Never quite saw him the same after that! Damon was sure good in Courage Under Fire. Very skinny - looked completely different.

Kilmer will always be Nick Rivers in Top Secret. No way. He's always and forever Chris Knight from Real Genius.
