Good point.
LARRY SINCLAIR, please report to Zuccotti Park.
Can you imagine what would happen if Larry Sinclair started signing copies of his book down there, which details his sex and crack smoking with BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA, MMM MMM MMM?

Zuccoti Park and the Thanksgiving Day parade are geographically pretty well seperated, but you concern is valid, what’s to stop them from hopping the subway uptown to spread mayhem?
To: Rocky
I think they're following the tactics used against the OccupyPortland people.
Waiththem out and don't allow them a chance to have their own “Kent State” moment - which is exactly what the protesters want.

And gentlemen in England now-a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs’d they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin’s day.

Doing it after midnight -- when productive citizens are in bed -- helps, too.
Gotta love this item from the MSNBC coverage:
A message on the @OccupyWallSt Twitter account said that city council member Ydanis Rodriguez was "beaten by nypd and bleeding from head."
Delightful. Hey Ydanis: You shouldn't be out in the park late at night when you have a taxpayer-funded job to do the next day, @sshole.

They were also claiming that the NYPD tear gassed the kitchen area.
Only later, when caught in their lies, did they admit that it was a fire extinguisher being used to put out a fire that started in that same kitchen area.

Looks like the National Lawyers Guild got a restraining order to allow the protesters to return to the park:

Apparently the park was created under a law that makes it a public space and it is to be open to the public 24/7.
To: lucyblue
Listening to Bloomberg press conference - park owner is legally obligated to allow public access.....
