Very true. Somewhere along the line "land of opportunity" got perverted into "land free of offense." Well excuse me people, no-one ever promised you a life where no-one would offend your delicate sensibilities. In fact, such a promise cannot be made, well, cannot be kept.
In short people, you are going to be offended. Guess what, you are going to offend others, intentionally or not. Get over it you worthless pantiwastes. Go cry to your mother, 'cause I guarantee you no-one else really gives a damn.
As to the specific case here. If anyone, at any time, any day, and in any setting, is offended by our flag ... fine. The border exits are open, you are free to leave, but old glory is not coming down to suit your tastes - ever.
It is not a question of who is offended. The problem is that we have thousands of nutcase activists who know how to beat us through the court system, from real law to liberal judicial activists. If you fly the flag on a bridge, then you have to legally allow anybody to fly any flag on off that bridge — gay pride, nazi flag, pink cancer flag, New York Jets football flag. There is no just selecting one type on state property. That is insane, but that is the result the commie activists have gotten through the courts.
