I feel for Rick Perry. I really do. I've had the occasional "senior moment" and I thought he handled it well, with grace. But the MSM will pile on. In skimming the threads and stories about the incident, I was surprised that there were NO Aggie jokes..
The university out on the South Plains is as conservative.
Just friendly Aggie jokes. No harm intended. It is a great school, as are others in the state.
What do fellow employees call an Aggie?

hey take it easy on Aggies, they are men out-standing in their fields.
I know someone who followed his Ph.D. adviser to A&M to get his nuclear engineering degree. You know the place has to be good if Northeast liberals will go and live there for a year to be part of it.
All in good fun, but keep in mind that you’re mocking the most military-friendly public university in the country.

Aggie jokes are repackaged ethnic jokes. Just as funny when you substitute “Jew”, “Pole”, “Mick”, or whatever.
I would do much worse than Perry if I was on that stage. I can't remember where I put my cell phone half the time.
Now that, I can identify with. :-)
