Yep, I can at least see a tenuous connection to history with "Ancient Aliens" and all of the stupid Nostradamus-type shows on History Channel. The shows are stupid and speculative, but I can see a connection. Kind of.
But, 'splain to me EXACTLY what "Ice Road Truckers", "Pawn Stars" and "American Pickers" has to do with history?
Beyond making the channel's viewship history, that is.

Beyond making the channel's viewship history, that is. Oh, contraire, i'm afraid. Those shows are the biggest hits on History Channel and have boosted their bottom line considerably. They've actually cracked the Basic Cable Top 10 ratings list for the first time on their strength.
