LOL. We love our diesel trucks down here in Texas as well. :)
I was once engaged to a Julliard graduate who was about to buy a Prius. Liz was not another simple minded music major, and had a bachelors and masters from the Hart school of Music. ‘Tis a pity she didn’t follow her first inclination to be an engineer, as she would have been a good one.
However, I had a long talk with her about how those whose career depended on intact finger, arm and shoulder musculature and nerves were ill advised to ride around in itty bitty cars with huge batteries underneath them.
She finally decided that large trucks (yup! I used a F-350 diesel dually as an example) were a potential risk to itty bitty cars.
It could have been worse - she could have considered a Yugo. Probably would have, except for Paul Shanklin’s “In A Yugo”.
