Just annnouced on FOX News
No, I’m not a woman but there is no allegation from anyone that he made repeated advances. In fact, there is no allegain that he made any advance! The only claim is that he said something that made someone feel “uncomfortable.” Heck, if that’s sufficient for you to destroy this man, we’ll just have to disagree.
You’re version of the office sounds officially sanitized and boring. Could you even make an off color remark? If so, our secretary (who is probably the most popular person in our department) would have to fired instantly.
I read the post the way goodnesswins meant it. see how simple statements can be interrupted totally wrong from what the person meant. Perfect example of how people miscontrue and end of sayhing oh that was sexual harrassment. that is my opinoion
Thanks, I responded to goodnesswins and explained I wasn’t responding to him/her, I was responding to the news.
I was actually hoping this was the woman coming forward so we could get to the bottom of this. I am just so disgusted over all this.
Very true. I am very skeptical of this whole thing because it has been 5 days now.
If Herman knew the allegations were that bad, it seems he would have backed out by now.
He hasn’t.
These gals have nothing to fear about coming out themselves and telling their tale. Only reason I can think of that they haven’t is that the story isn’t much or they have other dealings they do not want scrutinized.
Again we see how things can be misread. Just like
Darling how about doctoring my tea for me.
Good grief.
Evil forces are out!!!!
OK, you’re not a woman, that explains a bit :).
I’m pretty sure that back in 1999, the women weren’t trying to “destroy” Cain. A complaint of feeling “uncomfortable” is a long way away from trying to DESTROY a man.
My version of an office is what the office rules are in most places.
It worked out for me in the one job, because without the team lead arranging to put that guy on a different shift, I would have had to quit. It really was that bad. I was raising two children and had a mortgage, I had an interest in remaining employed.
Yeah, and according to the story on Drudge, this is the lawyer for a woman who brought charges against Caine, after he left the Restaurant association, not while he was head of it.
It must be the woman that was quoted as saying that she had heard of earlier charges and a settlement, so she decided to file a complaint as well.
This is probably the woman that they are touting as being an Ivy league graduate.
Good question. And why would they make them sign a confidentiality agreement? If nothing happened why all the secrecy?
And for the odd ones that don't, there's always enough other sailors around to make sure they mind their manners and show some respect.
Two bimbos tried it on me once. I kept good notes and had witnesses. I could have sued the company and gotten a settlement but I leave that kind of blackmail to the bimbos that force the office to put up with them and see the workplace as “social time”.
Sell your crazy notions somewhere else sister.
Monica loved him - and she came forward. The press mocked the child.
I doubt ANY of these women accusing Cain were 19 when the incident happened. A woman going after a Republican has NOTHING to fear from the press - reporters don't wear knee pads for conservatives.
I'm also sure Cain didn't have the State Police escort the women to his hotel room - like Clinton did with Paula Jones.
Paula Jones came forward.
The press called Paula trailer trash. She was young and powerless.
I doubt the women going after Cain are young OR powerless.
I doubt there's credible rape charges against Cain - like with Juanita - but here's what I don't doubt: I don't doubt that the press will do everything they can to harm Cain and to make the women - - no matter how 'experienced', tough, or powerful - - to look like innocent victims..
$50,000 is probably lower than the cost of going through trial and winning.
No. Juanita Broaddrick didn't come forward when it happened because she and her husband operated licensed nursing homes and Clinton was the governor. She was concerned about her license.
She didn't come forward when Clinton was President. Somebody leaked her name and she was not happy about it. Initially, she refused to speak with the press, any press. It was in the past and she didn't want to be thrust in the spotlight as a rape victim. She was forced to come forward.
Paula Jones didn't come forward when it happened. Her supervisor (and I wish i had the original National Review cover story article in front of me; it's in a box in the basement) made some guarded comments suggesting that things would be better for her if she didn't mention it.
She sat on it until the National Review ran the cover story on Bill Clinton's sex life in Little Rock, including cocaine, underaged girls, Hillary tearing apart the kitchen in the governor's mansion, Bill's desire to receive Lewinskys in parked cars while State Troopers watched - and a comment about how State Troopers escorted a state resort front desk clerk named "Paula" to Clinton's suite, suggesting that something sexual may have happened.
Paula Jones was concerned that friends would recognize her from the little-noticed article in a then-unheard-of magazine, and friends of her leaked her name. She was forced to come forward and, when she did, she sued Clinton for sexual harassment. Thanks to her, we had perjury, the definition of "is", a stained blue dress, the name Monica Lewinksy, cigars, and impeachment.
But Paula Jones didn't choose to come forward knowing that she would be beat up by the press.
Kathleen Willey? Yes.
The other two were forced into the spotlight. Paul Jones became the woman who demonstrated that the press would beat a woman up for speaking out about a Democrat's sexual misadventures (James Carville: "drag a hundred dollar bill through a trailer park"). She had no evidence it was going to happen.
Broaddrick wasn't beaten up by the press because the press ignored her and the story.
Now we know what happens. But Paul Jones being forced into the spotlight is what taught us; she didn't come forward after we already knew what happened to women with allegations about Clinton. Even Gennifer Flowers hadn't been savaged like Paula Jones.
Yes, they were pretty good guys. I had many military friends, and they would do anything in the world for ya.
It could be that this lawyer and the Presstitutes have been hounding this woman to come out with a totally fabricated new tale. Maybe they are trying to get her to comply. Offering her money and cover.
If all they have to offer is some lawyer that is a Podesta buddy “speaking for” this woman who doesn’t wish to be known publically, that is not credible.
Face it, you know she is a Dem and she is a coward to boot.
Yes, and these two Cain complainants will be bashed up pretty good as well. They sure know that.
No, it's not.
Now part of BASF I think.
