Good Morning To Amy's Place

Cats Sleep Anywhere

Cats sleep anywhere, any table, any chair.
Top of piano, window-ledge, in the middle, on the edge.
Open drawer, empty shoe, anybody's lap will do.
Fitted in a cardboard box, in the cupboard with your frocks.
Anywhere! They don't care! Cats sleep anywhere.

For All The Cat~People Of Amy's Place

Caturday Conquests

As a young and curious Kitten, it is wonderful that there is a Special Day
Specifically devoted to my desire to poke and prod, romp around, explore and play
It comes around like clockwork at the end of a very busy, hyperactive week
When My Pretty One dashes up and down the Stairs and I can play 'Hide & Shriek'!

That day is called 'Caturday'. A splendid respite whose unwritten purpose and intent
Means that I can be ready to pounce or dash and generally revel in the day's events
Giggling softly as My Pretty One Meows sharp and loud and then wonders where I went?
As I hide within the shadows under The Big Long Chair and ponder my next exciting Incident

Well aware that the Great Big Window above The Big Long Chair tauntingly calls my name
And will not stop until I Challenge and Conquer it and bask in attended, well earned fame
I step from the shadows and silently sneer at this unseen thing called 'Gravity'
Before giving an instinctive 'Butt Wiggle of Doom!' and leap up gracefully

Breaking the bonds of my invisible foe, I savor the moment where My Pretty One sometimes sits
Knowing the the row of nearby Pillows will not make a decent ladder in waging this War of Wits
I gauge the height against my overall strength and find it well within my means
Though I may just wait for My Pretty One to come up the Stairs, so she can view a proper scene!
