Dear RedState.com (cross-posted),

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ryan Larsen. I’m a truth lover, chess player and avid political junkie. I co-founded....

OK, here is the point where the mods step in... Originally this Pro-Romney troll went on for about twenty thousand words about how wonderful Romney is and how everyone else sucks. You get the picture. He wrote it to our friends at RedState but posted it here. I take it, probably because he met the same fate there as he just did here. We the mods will save you from all that boredom and just allow you to point and laugh. Carry on.

"Should I volunteer? Or is it too late? I’ve seen some faces that would look better as wall day-cor in an outhouse."

I wouldn't concern myself in the matter. There should be no shortage.

I understand that children all over spend a lot of time making faces.

I had to take my Dyson to the repair shop: a piece fell off. The repair-guy got it back on, mumbling, “This isn’t supposed to come off!” It needs a cleanup and rehab, too, and also, the brushes on the carpet-beater roll were practically gone, so he’s going to replace that.

Things will be much cleaner after the next use!

Cain = National Sales Tax

May I stumble in to your tag line?

I understand how terrible "National Sales Tax" ~sounds~, but it really can help to 'even things out'.

There is a massive, thriving, cash based underground economy here in Canada and many people on welfare also work 'on the side', for cash. They use that cash to purchase things. At least this way they can/do contribute something.

From what I understand, this 9/9/9 plan involves tossing the current tax code. If that's the case, I like it!

I’ve been paying income taxes all my working life. Now that I’m heading towards retirement (and not much income & tax), I don’t want to see the rules changed so I get to pay even more taxes on a fixed income. Introducing a NST will screw retirees over. Also, they won’t repeal the 16th amendment, so, in the end, we’ll end up with a high income tax rate, and a high sales tax rate.

The redistributionist liberals are licking their chops over 999. The rates won’t stay at 9% each as soon as the Dems get power again, and they will.

It does, including eliminating all Federal payroll taxes.

If that's the case, I like it!

I like it as a concept. The real difficulty is that there's a massive entrenched constituency for the current tax code, deranged as it is, including a majority of our legislators who enjoy being able to use tax policy to manipulate people, as well as selling individual exemptions from this or that.

The chance of its actually going away seems, to me, to be very slim.

The leviathan tax code is there to control people and give cronies unfair advantages in the business world. I’d go for a flat tax, but No. Sales. Tax.

Oh, relax. They aren't likely to raise each one beyond 33.

Yours is a reasonable opinion, although I don’t fully agree. In a vacuum, I would prefer a consumption tax to a production/investment tax. We are not, of course, in a vacuum, and the candidates are not spherical, and no matter what reforms are attempted, the result will probably be worse than what we have now.

Yes. They do. My daughter was very good at it, in fact. Especially when my back was turned. ;o])

No tax on repair services. If it cost more to buy something new, people (that is, my feckless family members) might think about making do with what we already have!

Good morning! It was below freezing when we got up, but presently 54 and overcast. I do like not having to pay a fortune for heat, yet!

Our electric bill will be horrendous for us now. We have 6inches of snow and it is here to stay.

Mine has dropped more than half since we stopped using the air conditioner. We have natural gas heat, but the fan to blow the air brings the electric bill back up, too.

I believe in wearing warm clothes and using blankets, but it is hard to keep Frank warm if the house gets too cold.

I bundle up as well. Yet we have to keep the pipes from freezing.

When we lived in a mobile home, we bought “heat tape” which we wrapped around the pipes under the home. I would imagine you could wrap them around the pipes under the sinks, as well. I don’t recall the lengths, but I’m sure there are shorter ones for RVs.

It may help your heating bills.

I dress in layers, all year round because of the way Vegas is. It can start out at 43, but by 2:00 pm, it could be 68. My little space heater cuts down on the gas bill, as well as the electric, since my furnace is gas.
