COLLEGE STATION - Texas A&M senior kicker Randy Bullock plans to return to Kyle Field in coming years and absorb a decidedly different conference schedule.
"It will definitely be a little weird," Bullock said of a league slate that includes a bundle of Southeastern Conference squads and is minus rival Texas. "Our war hymn is about the University of Texas. But you just move on and figure out who your new rival will be."

Oh, those are the Aggies that grab each others packages.
Considering that A&M is something like 0-7 in their most recent games against the SEC I doubt they'll even wind up in that bowl.
When the Aggies show up in Baton Rouge or Tuscaloosa with these Cheerleaders in tow, the Aggies are going to get beat really bad.
I have seen lots of gangstas there on the sidelines grabbing their packages. It is not just prevalent with the Aggie Corpsemen as Obamao would say.
“Well, duh, Bill. What did you think would happen when you walked out on the Big 12.”
It would be like your wife divorcing you and begging to sleep with you once a year and expecting you to write her a big check.
Oh, they can handle Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and a few flukes every now and then so with a light non-conference schedule, they could be 7-5.
As Missouri will find when they join the SEC and become the conference team that makes Vandy and Ole Miss look good. There was a piece in the paper over the weekend on how Missouri hopes that they can keep the Border War alive with Kansas, and they're getting the same reaction that A&M is getting. Rivalries are almost always between conference partners where the game means more. In walking away from their conferences, A&M and Mizzou want to have their cake and eat it too. That ain't gonna happen. Nor should it. And their plaintive wail of "We wanted to continue the rivalries but Texas and Kansas said no" is really ridiculous.
Dude, that bowl hasn’t been sponsored by Poulan Weedeater since 1996!
And the fact of the matter is that the Thanksgiving Day game on national TV belongs to Texas and that tradition will continue no matter who Texas plays.
Most likely that game will now be against Tech, but the rumor is that the networks want Texas v. Notre Dame on Thanksgiving.

Hullabaloo, Caneck! Caneck!
Hullabaloo, Caneck! Caneck!
First Verse[1]
All hail to dear old Texas A&M,
Rally around Maroon and White,
Good luck to the dear old Texas Aggies,
They are the boys who show the fight.
That good old Aggie spirit thrills us.
And makes us yell and yell and yell; —
So let’s fight for dear old Texas A&M,
We’re goin’ to beat you all to —
Chig-gar-roo-gar-rem!
Chig-gar-roo-gar-rem!
Rough! Tough!
Real stuff! Texas A&M!
Second Verse[1]
Good-bye to Texas university.
So long to the orange and white.
Good luck to the dear old Texas Aggies,
They are the boys who show
the real old fight.
The eyes of Texas are upon you.
That is the song they sing so well, (SOUNDS LIKE HELL!)
So, good-bye to Texas university,
We’re goin’ to beat you all to —
Chig-gar-roo-gar-rem!

Rough! Tough!

It was written in a war, and we sing it in war.

“The Aggie War Hymn is the war hymn of Texas A&M University. It was written by J.V. “Pinky” Wilson, former student, while standing guard on the Rhine with the AEF, after World War I. It was adopted by the Aggies in 1920. Wilson wrote a “first” verse on request in 1928, however this verse has never caught on with the student body and is seldom sung. It is omitted here for copyright reasons. Even though Saw Varsity’s Horns Off normally follows the War Hymn, it actually predates it and was not written by Wilson.”
Who currently has the TV rights to the game? NBC has the deal with Notre Dame. If another network controls the Texas game that could cause issues. Regardless, Texas - Texas Tech or, now that they're joining the conference, Texas - TCU would make for an interesting game as well.
Yesterday's reports of Missouri leaving for the SEC jumped the gun. Still may happen but it's not a deal at this time.
Are the Aggies going to change that fight song?
They may have to. They play, what? Four tigers, a razorback, a gator, a bulldog, a rebel, a gamecock, and assorted commodores, volunteers, and what have you. Not a lot of horns in all of that.
Thank you, sir. May I have another?

A&M didn't get kicked out of the Big ? ... but left by choice.
In years past A&M and LSU played and it was a natural rivalry...and will grow. There are a LOT of LSU grads in Texas...especially in SE TX.
tu could schedule the T-day game...but they have to punish A&M for not doing what they were told to do...by tu.
If the Aggies wanted to play Texas, they should have stayed in the Big 12.
However, Texas A&M made a choice and that choice was to leave the Big 12 and as a consequence of that choice, that Aggies will not play Texas, not Tech, Baylor, OU or OK State.
And on Thanksgiving the nation will watch the Longhorns play some other team, but not Texas A&M.
A&M having a choice, chose to go to a better conference.
See? They switch the 'U' and the 'T' so they're not calling it "THE University of Texas." And they use lower case letters to show a lack of respect.
My little brother came up with stuff like that, too.
