Been noticing something.
Liberals seem to be a bit jumpy about Marco Rubio.
Want to slime him. Almost like they were about Palin...
Interesting.
Nothing in law or the US constitution mentions parentage as a qualification or disqualification to run for the presidency.
The qualifications are:
At least 35 years old.
Born in the US.
Lived in the US for 14 years.
Rubio can be president.
Whether he meets your own definition, which is to be respected as your own definition - he certainly is as eligible as the current occupier.
So it’s a moot point. I say Rubio should run.
I’m series. He could very possibly become instant front-runner.
Funding, organization and logistics would take care of themselves, as millions of Americans jumped on the bandwagon.
Rubio could win. Big.
No, you’re wrong. He is not eligible because his parents were not citizens when he was born. Therefore Rubio is NOT a Natural Born Citizen like Mr. obama is not either due to his father not being a citizen. Two wrongs do not make a right. Obama is not eligible and was wrongly elected and sworn in, that does not make it right for the Repubs to do the same thing. As a Citizen of this great country, I could never vote for a ticket that has Rubio or Jindel on it. I would vote for a third party or not vote at all.
senate resolution 511 mentioned having TWO citizen parents for McCain. Still waiting for senate resolution for the usurper dunham.

Sorry, but that just needed fixin'.
You’re crazy
I propose this, as a simple but very effective way for Guv Palin to help reset the enthusiasm on our side, which she (inadvertently) quashed:
Palin should issue a simple statement, perhaps a one-sentence tweet:
(this weekend even)
Encouraging Marco Rubio to consider entering the race. Then just watch the fireworks.
:D
Rubio is a Bush guy who is dreadful on immigration.
He has zero executive experience or experience outside of a political career, and he is less than two years removed from serving at the state legislature level.
And he looks like he’s in his 20’s. What most excites people about Rubio is that he’s Hispanic—and identity politics is not supposed to be what drives our party.
No, he wouldn’t win.
Yes. I am appalled by the racial attacks on Herman Cain, the sexist attacks on both Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachman, and now Ethnic attacks against my beloved Senator Rubio. My only hope is that the liberals will overplay this hand and be thoroughly exposed to the world for the hypocrites they truly are. May it be a dramatic antidote to the “Kool-Aid”.
For the Record, I support Herman Cain, but am a firm believer in Ronald Reagan’s “11th Commandment”.
Some of the attacks right here on FR on REPUBLICAN Candidates have been pretty bad as well.
How about space aliens ?
Got any new theories on that beat ?
If I’m not mistaken, the window of opportunity for Mr. Rubio is about until next weekend.
He’s got an opening right now.
This FReeper encourages him to consider doing so. He would shake up the field in a good way, and certainly by doing so position himself among the strongest contenders as a running mate for any other candidate, if he does not win outright.
The election is still over a year away. A lot can happen in a year.
I think they’re worried about Rubio as veep rather than at the top of the ticket, and that’s because of Florida. It is far too late for Rubio to announce for the top slot even if he was interested. And even in the second slot the birthers will rip him apart more than the Democrats will.
Rubio’s resume:
High School
Law School
State Legislator
Senate
I think we need more.
Obama went to Harvard.
How’s that working out?...
You are wasting your time if you think our court system will remove either the Kenyan or Rubio from any state ballot. For that we can be thankful, for it will truly be over for our republic if a judge can decide who cannot be President.
Should it be proved for instance that Hussein was born (As I believe) in Kenya, it will be up to the political branches in general, and the states in particular to deal with this fact if the rat party does not, which of course it will not.
Specifically, Article II Section 1 gives the states power to “appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole . . . “
My ultimate point is that the Constitution gives the 50 state legislatures, and legislatures alone the legitimate power to decide who gets their electoral votes.
Thank you for making my point. No more lawyers turned politicians with no real world experience.
The dude lacks the experience or political leanings to be a worthy candidate. What he could get through Congress re: illegal immigration, following in Obama’s de facto amnesty footsteps, would be the end of a conservative voting majority.
End of story.
I think the fact Rubio’s own family escaped from a communist dictatorship, is a real world experience unmatched in many of the others.
And I was most emphatically (not) making your point, thanks.
:)
Let me rephrase that slightly, lest I be accused of padding Rubio’s resume:
Rubio’s family escaped from a looming communist dictatorship.
Which shows he comes from intelligent stock.
As has been clarified this past week, Rubio’s family emigrated from Cuba several years before it fell to a communist dictatorship.
