I think there is a false dichotomy sometimes believed on this site that Conservatives think and Liberals feel. I wouldn't consider anyone to be a true conservative that doesn't feel.
It might be the case that liberals feel without thinking, but the opposite that conservatives think and don't feel is definitely false.
I'd even argue that liberals feel inadequately. Take abortion. Liberals feel for the mother who feels trapped with a child she doesn't want. Conservatives feel for both the mother and the child and say that killing the child is not an acceptable solution.
Liberals feel for their special interests but fail to feel for the good of the whole.
See it's not that liberals are driven by feelings, it's that their feelings are inadequate. Many of the left are driven by greed, envy, lust, and hatred. They have failed to truly love.
