Not your proudest moment, Rep. Todd.

Todd, R-Collierville and the chairman of the House State and Local Government Committee, was a chief architect of a controversial new state law that allows people with handgun carry permits to be armed in bars and restaurants that serve alcohol.

I imagine Todd “acted stupidly”, but the cops hate these laws and likely set him up. I’d bet good money they had a plainclothes officer at a bar call in when he left so a patrol car conveniently nearby could pull him over when he allegly “weaved”.

Don’t these politicians realize that if they’re in favor of gun rights for the citizen, the anti-gun gun grabbers are WATCHING them closely? . . and why can they not BEHAVE themselves in light of this?

The premise of the article is that since he was drunk and armed, we must do away wioth guns.
Always trust AP and the haters of the 2nd Amendment to pull that kind of propagandistic crap.

Media is going to run with this, because in their pea brains this proves that only cops should have guns and citizens certainly shouldn’t be able to carry at restaurants/bars serving alcohol.

Assuming the arrest was righteous, I can only say that it is a really bad idea for an CCW holder to carry while drinking. If the booze is so important, leave the gun elsewhere.
