This "occupy" nonsense: where are the republicans?
Free Republic ^

Posted on 10/07/2011 8:19:23 AM PDT by Christian Engineer Mass

Do the republicans not have media people? Everyone is taking the power of the "occupy" idiots except the only ones who should be - the republicans.

The republicans should be out there pinning the 10% employment on Obama right now.

Don't forget Alinsky! Your power is not only what you have, but also what your enemy thinks you have.

What have you been doing about it other than posting a vanity? Turn on the radio Mark Levin and Rush have been giving these people more media than they deserve. These people are their own worst enemy.

Why, goodness, I believe you are correct. Didn’t the Media say they are “just like the Tea Party”?

Yes this is “Rules For Radicals” in action. The mob is being turned from the actual cause of their discomfort, to rail against the enemy of their cause for discomfort.

Indeed, where is the Republican Party in this transparent election scheme by the Democrats?

Except the movement really isn’t about unemployment, it is about a bunch of whiny neo-hippies blaming all their problems on ‘evil corporations’ and a street name instead of taking personal responsibility for their lives.

They are tools of Obama, distract from his failures and blame it on banks and corporations.

Republicans, unlike the "Occupiers", actually have JOBS.

You are, of course, 100% correct, but you are expecting something the GOP hasn't had in a long time - backbone and leadership!

Thanks for asking! I've been making a video, asking them hard questions trying to get them to admit they're nothing but politically-motivated hacks. How about you?

Rush and Levin are great. The choir is pleased with their preaching! But elected republicans should be on major outlets right now pinning unemployment on Obama and framing the issue that way.

“Didn’t the Media say they are “just like the Tea Party”?”

The only resemblance they bear to the Tea Party is that, as Americans and if duly licensed, they have a Constitutional right to peaceful assembly, and free (not inflammatory or inciting to riot) speech

The resemblance ends there.

The democrats are constantly talking about how the richest 1% don’t pay their fair share, and this is supposed to look like some popular uprising that will justify a special tax on the rich, like the Buffett Tax.

There really is no need to answer folks in their folly. Every time they open their mouth foolishness comes out and their folly is on parade for everyone to see. We are giving them waaaaaay toooo much attention.

Exactly. So take that steam away. Reframe it as people are angry because Obama screwed up the economy with the healthcare fiasco.

Do the republicans not have media people who see stuff like this?

It would just result in another target for the witless crowds. Don’t give them any more straw targets than they already have. It is like I heard kids arguing “I know you are but what am I?”
