If the Founding Fathers had put family first, we’d all have crooked teeth and be driving on the wrong side of the road.
I have to say I agree with you. As I said on another thread, people were not buying her books, selling out her speeches, and traipsing all over Iowa for who she was, but for who she could be.
Hey, I have an idea, why don’t we try to get Fred Thompson to run? /s
Nothing can be added...
The Founding Fathers didn't have to worry about 'putting family first' because they had wives who were home taking care of their children, so the men didn't have to worry about the day to day running of the households. Thankfully, times have changed, and women who want to take on the challenge of running for office can do so. Sarah has done it in the past, but she decided the time wasn't right for her family right now. Considering what she, and her dis, have endured the past few years, I don't blame her one single bit!
Yes. It was never really personally about Palin.
Palin was drafted out of the blue, and delivered a knock out speech to a sell out crowd. Folks were desperate for an honest, fearless, common sense politician. Her looks didn't hurt matters, either.
That was three years ago.
A lot has happened since.
The statists went after her. The timid on our side refused to defend her. In fact they added to the attacks.
I believe Palin did try to live up to expectations, but in the end the naysayers won.
Now, good luck trying to find a patriotic politician. It was a hard task before. It will be impossible now. Look what happened to one who tried to be one. And look at the posers we are left with.
