Because I posted this last night: ***Who Needs A Knife: Stabbed In The Back By Someone We Loved*** along with a few comments as to why I felt that way, I wish to hasten to point out my love and devotion to Madam President and all she stands for....
I, like many others, were deeply hurt by this unexpected announcement, and being so reacted in the way I did....
But For the record, I want all my fellow Freepers to know that I still back her 100%, and having slept on it, stand by comments made on my TV show: I will be voting for Sarah Palin in 2012 for President of the United States
>>> I think the Bible calls it ... “Idolatry”. >>>
That’s what is says in my Bible too!. It’s so ironic in many ways: the idolatry for Palin is obvious — and then there’s the fact that so many of her really hard core followers are really hung up on issues she does not stress.
She laid out a lot of priorities in her statement and her talk with Levin. Guess what? They were all about the secular role of government: not a whisper about social issues. And we know, she bathed all of this in prayer.
Point is: she has her head on much straighter than her most virulent supporters. She is much more in tuned with folks like me, who support her but do not worship her.
so so so ironic...
Gumdrop catles ...
I’d get building your fake voting booth now, glitter, hot glue gun, other accessories might be nice ...
OK, you’re scaring me now...
Looks like we're just getting a whole different brand of it. Good grief!
I truly believe that some of the posters here are DU trolls attempting satire - a farcical caricature of authentic Governor Palin support. It is so over-the-top as to be unbelievable.
This has to be satire. He just thinks he's being funny, right? Right?!
Not exactly. That law does not go into effect until states with enough electors to equal 270 EV have passed similar laws, have signed the compact, and Congress approves the compact. That won't happen before the 2012 election, if ever.
It’s sad to watch.
As one FReeper said yesterday, it is dangerous to put too much on a mere mortal.
Praying for the Lord’s guidance and for our nation is the way to go.
You’ve been attacked and ridiculed viciously for simply stating the truth. It went on for months and months. I am sorry that happened.
I do want to give credit where credit is due, though...
When I read one of your posts where you talked about Palin doing book signings you made me re-think if she was a candidate or not. Thank you for that.
Well, now that it’s settled, I guess we’ll have to vote for the ‘what’s left’ of the GOP. You do realize, barring a miracle of Almighty God, that whoever runs against Barry the Boob will lose, right?
I’ll vote for whoever the GOP nominee is come next November. I will then sit back and wait for any one of the following things to be said from the Oval Office....
“My fellow Americans, it is with great sadness that I report to you tonight that the country is bankrupt and we have defaulted on our debts...”
“My fellow Americans, due to the riots that are sweeping our nation, I have declared martial law. All public gatherings are to be disbursed and all Constitutional rights and privileges are suspended for the duration...”
“And now, Supreme Leader Barack Obama...”
or
“All people will attend to the words of your new leader, Premier Hu Jintao. Those found not listening will be arrested and executed...”
Voting for someone who is not running, and has chosen not to run, is the same as not voting.
You are not going to magically draft her into office with your vote. Write in Mickey Mouse or stay home; either way, you are choosing to let other select those that would govern for you, rather than being a part of the process.
They have their own required filing date, separate from the primaries.
You are crazy, this thread is creepy, and if Palin has a list of potential stalkers from FR, she should add you.
Palin, a FOX News contributor, said in a follow-up interview on Levin’s show that she would not run as a third-party candidate either as that would guarantee another four years for Obama.

President Ronald Reagan and Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.
Modern era conservative heroes. We'll not soon see their like again.
I agree. After listening to her interview on Bob and Mark this morning, the answer was obvious. She really wanted to run but two of her kids did not want her to AND more importantly...she didn’t have the funds to run the campaign. She mentioned that SarahPac only has 1 million dollars on hand (it couldn’t have been used for her Presidential run) and that she would have been going up against a billion dollar race against Obama. I think her answer boiled down to those two points in my opinion. Assuming she would have immediately raised a few million upon announcing, it would never have been enough to fight the billion that Obama will probably raise.
Also, another thing I thought of is that she surely realizes that the Democrat base is a bit demoralized these days, but if she had entered they would have come out in droves to vote for him against her. She didn’t mention that, but that was one of the things I personally thought about the “why” of not running. She wants to defeat Obama as much as the rest of us. If she thought being in the race would prevent that, she would not enter.
I’ve been a supporter of hers since I first heard about her being elected Gov. in Alaska and I remain a firm supporter. I’m sad I won’t be voting for her this election season, but maybe one day in the future when the kids are more self-sufficient she will give it another try.
Now, I just have to decide who to support. I love Herman Cain but thinking about him one-on-one with Obama in a debate scares me. He’s not informed enough on foreign policy and other matters. I never thought I would say it, but the one I would rather have debate Obama is Newt...sigh
To 113 - I’m sure he’s at or near the top. ‘The Wizard’ once submitted a couple of posts here in which he glorified “swinging” (aka ‘wife or partner swapping’). He defended the practice as not only normal, but beneficial to a relationship. Isn’t that right, Wiz?
Why vote for someone who couldn’t pull the trigger after all these months? It’s true that all the others are lesser lights, but at least they are in the game. America lost big time, but I’d sooner cut my throat than help the Demon remain in power. You don’t need enthusiasm to do the right thing. Me, I’ll vote for Cain or Santorum, and probably the charlatan with the gold tooth next November. *Barf* Bob
I will say this.... I find our political system horrible how candidates are treated at times. Well, Republican candidates. I was outraged at how the media treated her littlest son. They had absolutely no shame whatsoever at ridiculing a baby. A baby! What do you think her kids would have endured?! Does one think that if elected President that her children would have been left alone? I personally think their family had a discussion and essentially the “could you live with this situation or that” was presented. I will say this... Sarah Palin made a decision not for herself but her family and for that... I admire her. She didn’t let her own ambition rule over what she felt was best for her family. I wish her all the luck in the world!
we have weekly TV show in NYC but it is also on youtube, just type in angelandthewiz.....
